The Price Of Paradise
''The Price of Paradise'' is a BBC Books original novel written by Colin Brake and based on the long running science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. It was published on 21 September 2006 alongside '' The Nightmare of Black Island'' and ''The Art of Destruction''. It features the Tenth Doctor and Rose. Plot Laylora, the Paradise Planet, is a world of breathtaking beauty, where peace-loving Aboriginals supposedly live in harmony with their environment. Years ago, a human called Rez arrived on the planet as a baby in an escape pod, and was adopted by the native people. The Doctor and Rose arrive to answer a distress signal from a group of scientists, who were shot down by an EMP, only to find that the once-perfect eco-system is showing signs of failing. Colin Brake
Colin Brake (born 1962) is an English television writer and script editor best known for his work for the BBC Television, BBC on programmes such as ''Bugs (television programme), Bugs'' and ''EastEnders''. He has also written Doctor Who spin-offs, spin-offs from the BBC series ''Doctor Who''. He lives and works in Leicester. Work Brake began working on ''EastEnders'' in 1985 as a writer and script editor, being partly responsible for the introduction of the soap's first Asian characters Saeed Jeffery, Saeed and Naima Jeffery. From there, he went on to work as "script executive" on the popular Saturday night action adventure programme ''Bugs'', before moving to Channel 5 (UK), Channel 5 in 1997 to be "script associate" on their evening soap ''Family Affairs''. ''The Curse of Peladon'' is the second serial of the ninth season of the British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four weekly parts on BBC1 from 29 January to 19 February 1972. Shaun Dingwall (born 21st February 1970) is a British actor from London. He is known for his roles as Pete Tyler in ''Doctor Who'', as Reg Trotter in ''Rock & Chips'' and as D.C. Mark Rivers in ''Touching Evil''. Early life Shaun Dingwall was born in London and attended Ilford County High School for Boys until 1988. "The Satan Pit" is the ninth episode of the second series of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast on 10 June 2006. The Draconians are a fictional extraterrestrial race from the planet Draconia. They were featured in the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''.
