Colin Brake
Colin Brake (born 1962) is an English television writer and script editor best known for his work for the BBC Television, BBC on programmes such as ''Bugs (television programme), Bugs'' and ''EastEnders''. He has also written Doctor Who spin-offs, spin-offs from the BBC series ''Doctor Who''. He lives and works in Leicester. Work Brake began working on ''EastEnders'' in 1985 as a writer and script editor, being partly responsible for the introduction of the soap's first Asian characters Saeed Jeffery, Saeed and Naima Jeffery. From there, he went on to work as "script executive" on the popular Saturday night action adventure programme ''Bugs'', before moving to Channel 5 (UK), Channel 5 in 1997 to be "script associate" on their evening soap ''Family Affairs''. Script Editor
A script editor is a member of the production team of scripted television and radio programmes, usually dramas and comedies. The script editor has many responsibilities including finding new script writers, developing storyline and series ideas with writers, and ensuring that scripts are suitable for production. The script editor will work closely with the writer at each draft of the script, giving the writer feedback on the quality of the work, suggesting improvements that can be made whilst also ensuring that practical issues like show continuity and correct running time are adhered to. Eric Saward
Eric Saward (; born 9 December 1944) is a British radio scriptwriter who worked for the BBC as a television script editor and screenwriter on the science fiction series ''Doctor Who'' from 1982 until 1986. He wrote the stories '' The Visitation'' (1982), ''Earthshock'' (1982), ''Resurrection of the Daleks'' (1984) and ''Revelation of the Daleks'' (1985). Big Finish Short Trips
The Big Finish ''Short Trips'' are a collection of short story anthologies published by Big Finish Productions based on the BBC Television series ''Doctor Who'', beginning with the collection ''Short Trips: Zodiac'' in December 2002 and ending with the loss of their license in 2009. The ''Short Trips'' name was inherited from similar collections published by the BBC, who decided in March 2000 that it was no longer financially viable to produce collections of short stories. Big Finish Productions negotiated a licence to continue producing these collections, publishing them in smaller runs and in hardback, thus allowing for a higher cover price and increased profit margins than on the BBC collections. The ''New Series Adventures'' are a series of novels relating to the long-running BBC science fiction television series, ''Doctor Who''.
