Giuseppe Rosati (director)
Giuseppe Rosati (Foggia, 21 September 1752; Foggia, 1 September 1814) was an Italian physician, agronomist, philosopher and mathematician. He was born in Foggia from Raffaele Rosati and Marianna Giannone. He attended the University of Medicine in Naples and, at the same time, he studied philosophy, agronomy and mathematics. In Naples, he started to write many works about agronomy, medicine, geography and mathematics. Upon returning to Foggia, he devoted himself to teaching the young and became the "doctor of the poor". Ennio Balbo
Ennio Balbo (18 April 1922 – 18 June 1989) was an Italian film, television and voice actor. Biography Born in Naples, Balbo made his debut on stage immediately after the Second World War alongside Paola Borboni and Lamberto Picasso in Luigi Pirandello's ''Così è se vi pare''. He was later a member of the theater company of Gino Cervi, as well as one of the members of the "Society of the Four" alongside Valeria Moriconi, Lia Zoppelli and Gianni Agus. He was also very active as a character actor in films, mainly in villain roles; Balbo took part to numerous Spaghetti Western films in which he was usually credited as Edward Bell. Poliziotteschi (; singular ''poliziottesco'') constitute a subgenre of crime and action films that emerged in Italy in the late 1960s and reached the height of their popularity in the 1970s. They are also known as ''polizieschi all'italiana'', ''Euro-crime'', ''Italo-crime'', ''spaghetti crime films'', or simply ''Italian crime films''. Influenced by both 1970s French crime films and gritty 1960s and 1970s American cop films and vigilante films, poliziotteschi films were made amidst an atmosphere of socio-political turmoil in Italy known as Years of Lead and increasing Italian crime rates. Leonardo Manzella (born March 1, 1947), best known as Leonard Mann, is an American social worker, writer, and former actor. He played numerous leading roles in Italian genre films between 1969 and 1989, especially in Spaghetti westerns and ''poliziotteschi''. He was discovered by producer Manolo Bolognini as he was walking along Via Veneto and Bolognini, impressed by his face that reminded him of Franco Nero and Terence Hill, immediately put him on the screen, launching his career with the leading role of Sebastian in ''The Forgotten Pistolero''. Since retiring from showbusiness in 1989, he has worked as a social worker and therapist for the Los Angeles Unified School District in addition to a private practice San Luis Obispo.
