The House Of Dancing Water
''The House of Dancing Water'' was a water-based stage production written and directed by Franco Dragone. The show, which was the second water show by Franco Dragone's company, premiered in September 2010. , it had been performed over 3,800 times and seen by over 2 million spectators. The production was located at the City of Dreams resort in Cotai, Macau. The show ran for 90 minutes, and featured acrobatic elements and original acts, with a stage that transformed into different sets. Over 90 gymnasts, circus artists, dancers, divers, actors, and motorcyclists were featured in the show. The performers worked alongside 160 production staff, technicians and professional scuba divers from around the world. Franco Dragone
Franco Dragone (12 December 1952 – 30 September 2022) was an Italian-born Belgian theatre director. He was the founder and artistic director of Dragone, a creative company specializing in the creation of large-scale theatre shows. He was also known for his work with Cirque du Soleil and Celine Dion. CNN said that Dragone was "one of the key architects of Cirque du Soleil's theatrical style", and that "while Cirque du Soleil's signature was contemporary circus, Dragone's solo work embodies more theater, dance -- and, of course, water" through the use of his "trademark" aquatic stages. Cotai (; pt, Zona do Aterro de Cotai) is a piece of newly reclaimed land on top of Seac Pai Bay between Taipa and Coloane islands in Macau, that has made two independent islands become one island, since 2005. The word (a portmanteau of Coloane and Taipa) can also refer to the entire new island which was formed by the reclamation. In the second sense, the Special Administrative Region of Macau now consists of the Macau Peninsula plus Cotai Island, about a mile to the south.
