Aleksandr Stolper
Aleksandr Borisovich Stolper (russian: Александр Борисович Столпер; 12 August 1907, in Dvinsk (now Daugavpils) – 12 January 1979, in Moscow) was a Soviet film director and screenwriter. He directed 14 films between 1940 and 1977. Aleksandr Stolper was awarded the Stalin Prize in 1949 and 1951 and received the honorary title People's Artist of the USSR in 1977. Tatyana Grigoryevna Vasilyeva (russian: Татья́на Григо́рьевна Васи́льевa; born 28 February 1947) is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, and TV presenter. She has appeared in more than seventy films since 1969. She was named a People's Artist of the Russian Federation in 1992. Biography She graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School (course of Vasiliy Markov) in 1969. In 1969–1983, she acted at the Moscow Satire Theater. Her first theatre role was as the Commissioner in ''The Time in Captivity'', based on a play by Alexander Stein. From 1983 to 1992, she performed at the Moscow Academic Mayakovsky Theatre. Lev Konstantinovich Durov ( rus, Лев Константинович Дуров, p=ˈlʲef kənstɐnʲˈtʲinəvʲɪdʑ ˈdurəf; 23 December 1931 – 20 August 2015) was a Soviet and Russian theatre and film actor who appeared in more than 200 films and numerous stage productions between 1955 and 2008. He was named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1990. Durov came from the illustrious Durov family whose members included memoirist Nadezhda Durova and animal trainer Anatoly Durov. His aunt's husband ran the Maly Theatre in 1944–1947. Lev Durov married actress Irina Kirichenko (1931–2001) in 1954. Their daughter Ekaterina is also an actress. Durov attended the Moscow Art Theatre School, where his teachers included Sergey Gerasimov and . He joined the troupe of Anatoly Efros in 1954 and was a mainstay of Efros's productions until 1984. Mihai Volontir (9 March 1934 – 15 September 2015) was a Soviet and Moldovan actor. People's Artist of the USSR (1984). Biography Volontir was born on 9 March 1934 in the village of Glinjeni, Moldova. He attended the Pedagogical Institution in Orhei from 1952 to 1955. After over a decade of working in theatre, Volontir began appearing in films made at the Moldova-Film studio in 1967. He became famous in the late 1970s after his roles in '' In the Zone of Special Attention'' and ''The Gypsy'' film series. The films were so popular that he is still strongly associated with his character, Budulai, a wise lone gypsy. His performance resulted in increased tolerance towards gypsy communities in the Soviet Union. The film series was revived fifteen years later with a new production as well as a TV series. Juozas Budraitis (born 6 October 1940) is a Lithuanian actor. He has appeared in more than 60 films and television shows since 1966. He starred in the Soviet film ''Wounded Game'', which was entered into the 1977 Cannes Film Festival. Budraitis also played a minor role in the finale of the period drama miniseries '' The Queen's Gambit''. Biography Juozas Stanislavas Budraitis was born on 6 October 1940 in the village of Liepynai, Kelmė, Lithuania in a peasant family. In 1945, the family moved to Klaipėda, and in 1955 – to the small town of Švėkšna. In the years 1958-1960, Budraitis worked as a laborer at a training and production plant in Klaipėda.
