The Films (band)
The Films were an American indie pop rock band from Charleston, South Carolina, and consisted of Michael Trent, Kenneth Harris, Jake Sinclair, and Adam Blake. The band members met in high school and in 2006 recorded/produced the EP ''Being Bored''. That same year, the band released their debut album ''Don't Dance Rattlesnake'' which earned them a substantial fan following in Germany and Japan. Their next album ''Oh, Scorpio'' was released on Warner in 2009. They toured Germany as part of the Jägermeister ( , ; stylized Jägermeiſter) is a German digestif made with 56 herbs and spices. Michael Trent
Michael Trent is an American musician from Denver. He performs as a solo act and in the band Shovels & Rope since 2008. Career Trent first performed as the lead singer in the Denver, Colorado band Tinker's Punishment, before moving to the Southeast and renaming as The Films with Kenneth Harris, Jacob Sinclair and Adam Blake in Charleston, South Carolina. The group disbanded in 2010. Trent collaborated with Butch Walker, performing on two of his albums. He then released two solo albums. Trent recorded an album as a duo with his wife, Cary Ann Hearst Cary Ann Hearst (born August 10, 1979) is a folk/roots rock musical artist from South Carolina, US. Jacob S. Sinclair (born March 7, 1985) is an American record producer, musician, singer, and songwriter. His production and songwriting credits include Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, 5 Seconds of Summer, Pink, New Politics, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Gin Wigmore, and Train. Early life Born in Idaho, Sinclair started playing music at age 7, where he discovered a love for learning and playing songs by The Beatles.
