The Early Years – Revisited
''The Early Years – Revisited'' is the eleventh studio album by American punk rock band Zebrahead released on April 21, 2015. The album is made up of re-recorded tracks from the band's early years between 1998 and 2003 that feature then current lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matty Lewis and lead guitarist Dan Palmer, as opposed to former band members Justin Mauriello and Greg Bergdorf who featured on the original recordings. ''The Early Years – Revisited'' was preceded by the single "Devil on My Shoulder", which was released March 26, 2015. A music video followed its release on the same day. Background In February 2015, after the announcement of a Greatest Hits? – Volume 1, greatest hits album for exclusive release in Japan featuring re-recorded songs as well as old material, Zebrahead confirmed the release of the re-recorded tracks in other global territories which would also feature the new song "Devil on My Shoulder" for an April 21, 2015 release. Zebrahead
Zebrahead is an American rap-punk band from La Habra, California. Formed in 1996, the band has released thirteen studio albums to date. History 1996–2001: Formation and early years Zebrahead was formed in La Habra, California in summer 1996 by guitarist Greg Bergdorf and drummer Ed Udhus, (both formerly of the band 409), bassist Ben Osmundson (formerly of 3-Ply) and singer/rhythm guitarist Justin Mauriello (formerly of Once There). All four musicians, whose bands at the time shared the same practice space, became acquainted with one another after experimenting with different music styles together. This led to all four leaving their respective bands and forming their own and naming it Zebrahead. Matty Lewis
Matty Lewis is an American musician, primarily known for his work as the rhythm guitarist and vocalist of punk rock band Zebrahead from 2005 to 2021. Jank 1000 Jank 1000 was a suburban pop punk band originally formed in late 1998, in the suburbs of Omaha, Nebraska. The band's original lineup consisted of Matty Lewis on lead vocals and guitar, bassist Danny Isgro and drummer Jake Horrocks. The band were known for their combined catchy, hook filled songs with clever and intelligent lyrics. Jank 1000 initially started as a garage band in 1997 called "Formula One". Lewis and his two previous bandmates (Mike Haddock and Chris Bowen) played primarily at frat parties and street dances, almost always for free. Justin Mauriello
Justin Mauriello (born 1975) is the lead singer and guitarist for the alternative rock band Darling Thieves, and former guitarist and founding member of punk rock band Zebrahead. Man with a Mission, stylized as MAN WITH A MISSION or sometimes as MWAM, is a Japanese rock band which was formed in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, in 2010. The band currently consists of five band members, with stage names of Tokyo Tanaka (vocals, leader), Jean-Ken Johnny (guitar, vocals, rap), Kamikaze Boy (bass guitar, backing vocals), DJ Santa Monica (DJ, sampling) and Spear Rib (drums).
