The European Seniors Match Play Championship was a senior (over 50s) men's professional match play golf tournament played on the European Seniors Tour from 2000 to 2004. John Chillas
John Stalker Chillas (born 31 July 1951) is a Scottish professional golfer. He won the Scottish PGA Championship twice, in 1976 and 2001. He has also won three times on the European Seniors Tour. He tied for 52nd place in the 1984 Open Championship. His best season on the Seniors Tour was 2004 when, in addition to winning the end-of-season Estoril Seniors Tour Championship, he was runner-up 5 times and third on two other occasions. Ian Stanley (golfer)
Ian Stanley (14 November 1948 – 29 July 2018) was an Australian professional golfer. Stanley was born in Melbourne. He started playing at the age of 14 at the old Amstel Golf Club which backed onto his parents' home in Ian Grove, Mount Waverley. In 1966, he won both the Club Championship and Junior Championship and, later in the same year, won the Victorian School Boys at Huntingdale Golf Club. As Amstel was moving to a new site in Cranbourne, Stanley was asked to join Huntingdale, where he honed his game under the watchful eye of club professional Geoff Flanagan. In 1967, he won the Victorian Junior Championship at Huntingdale and in 1969, he went on to win both the Junior and Senior Club Championships (also played at Huntingdale). Craig Bryan Defoy (born 27 March 1947) is a Welsh professional golfer. He finished fourth in the 1971 Open Championship. Professional career Defoy had a successful start to his tournament career, winning three age-restricted events, the Gor-Ray Under-24 Championship in 1968 and Lord Derby’s Under-23 Professional Tournament and the Energen Junior Match Play, for under-25s, in 1969. Defoy later played on the European Tour where he did not win but had three second-place finishes: 1973 Spanish Open, 1976 Sun Alliance Match Play Championship, and 1977 Skol Lager Individual (playoff loss). Edward Polland (born 10 June 1947) is a Northern Ireland, Northern Irish professional golfer. Polland was born in Newcastle, County Down, Newcastle, County Down. Delroy Cambridge (born 12 November 1949) is a Jamaican professional golfer. Professional career Cambridge turned professional in 1971. He has spent many years in the United States, where he worked as an assistant professional at Sunningdale Country Club in Scarsdale, New York and played in local and regional events in the New York region. He is more notable for his achievements in senior (over 50) golf.
