The Bypass
''The Bypass'' is a 2003 short silent Bollywood film with actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irrfan Khan, Irfan Khan and Sundar Dan Detha. The film was written and directed by Amit Kumar. The Bypass was filmed on a stranded road somewhere in Rajasthan, India. The film was shown at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and Aubagne Film Festival. Plot The film is about two friends who stay by the stranded road "Bypass" and a corrupt police officer. The two friends frequently mug and ultimately kill the people who travel by the road. Amit Kumar (singer), Amit Kumar starts the film by showing a couple traveling by the road, and then Nawazuddin Siddiqui stops the car by throwing a rock. The two friends then steal money and graphically kill the pair. Amit Kumar (singer)
Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows. In addition to singing in Hindi, has also performed in Bengali, Bhojpuri, Odia, Assamese, Marathi and Konkani. He is the eldest son of singer-actor Kishore Kumar. Nawazuddin Siddiqui (; born 19 May 1974) is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi cinema. He is an alumnus of the National School of Drama. Siddiqui's feature film debut was alongside director Prashant Bhargava in ''Patang'' (2012).
