''The Amazing Race Australia 5'' is the fifth season of the Australian reality television game show ''The Amazing Race Australia'', an Australian spin-off of the American series ''The Amazing Race'', and the second instalment of Network 10's iteration of the show. The season featured sixteen teams of two in a pre-existing relationship in a race around Australia, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to win . The fifth edition of the show premiered at 7:30 pm on 1 February 2021. Beau Ryan, former rugby league footballer, returned to host for his second season of the show. Cowboys Brendon Crawley and Jackson Dening were the winners of this season. Beau Ryan (born 11 May 1985) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer, television presenter, actor and singer who played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League. Ryan is also well known for his comedic work on ''The Footy Show (rugby league), The Footy Show''. Rottnest Island ( nys, Wadjemup), often colloquially referred to as "Rotto", is a island off the coast of Western Australia, located west of Fremantle.
