The All Ireland Talent Show (series 2)
The second series of ''The All Ireland Talent Show'' was announced on 10 August 2009. The winner was Chloe Coyle from Castlederg, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The second season was an extended one with more shows, seventeen in total. It was scheduled to avoid competition with UK talent show ''The X Factor'' which airs on competing channels UTV and TV3. Personnel Presenters Gráinne Seoige returned as presenter in her only role on the channel following the scrapping of ''Seoige''. Aidan Power and Dustin the Turkey started work on a new show, '' The All Ireland Talent Show Backstage''. Gráinne Seoige
Gráinne Seoige (; born 5 November 1973) is an Irish journalist, news anchor and documentary and entertainment television presenter. A noted Irish language supporter, Seoige is the only television personality to have worked with all four Irish terrestrial television stations—TG4, TV3, RTÉ One and RTÉ2—and to have read the inaugural news bulletins on three separate channels—TG4, TV3, and Sky News Ireland. Early life The eldest of four children, Seoige was born in Spiddal to Philomena and Mairtín Seoige. Gráinne's youngest sibling, her sister Síle, is also a television presenter. ''Seoige'' is an Irish television chat show. The show, hosted by sisters Gráinne and Síle Seoige, was broadcast live on weekdays at 16:30 on RTÉ One, with a hiatus in the summer months. Episodes were repeated at 08:20 the following weekday morning on the same channel. The programme was originally launched in 2006 as ''Seoige and O'Shea'' with Gráinne Seoige and Joe O'Shea at the helm. It followed a similar format to ITV's ''This Morning'' programme. Moving between serious issues and lighter subjects, content included interviews, debates and musical performances. Viewers could call, text or e-mail the programme's studio to give their opinions on topics. Ocean FM is a local radio station that broadcasts to parts of the northwest of Ireland. The station covers the area of south County Donegal, north County Leitrim and most of County Sligo and it broadcasts into parts of south-west County Fermanagh. Eurovision Song Contest 1970
The Eurovision Song Contest 1970 was the 15th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest and took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS), the contest was held at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, RAI Congrescentrum on 21 March 1970, and was hosted by Dutch television presenter Willy Dobbe. Boyzone
Boyzone were an Irish boy band, created in 1993 by talent manager Louis Walsh. Before even recording any material, Boyzone made an appearance on RTÉ's '' The Late Late Show''.
