Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam
Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam (born 5 November 1988) is an Indian film director, writer, actor, and television presenter who works in Telugu cinema. He directed the critically acclaimed romantic comedy film ''Pelli Choopulu'' (2016), which won him the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu and Best Screenplay – Dialogues. He later directed '' Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi'' (2018), and made his debut in a lead role with ''Meeku Maathrame Cheptha'' (2019). Early life Tharun Bhascker was born on 5 November 1988 in Madras and was raised in Hyderabad. His father hailed from Warangal, Telangana, while his mother is from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Bhasckar studied at Hyderabad Public School, and Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology. He later graduated from New York Film Academy. His father, Uday Bhaskar, died in 2015. Sekhar Kammula
Sekhar Kammula (born 4 February 1972) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works in Telugu cinema. He has garnered two Filmfare Awards South, and six state Nandi Awards for his directional works. Sekhar Kammula was among the director's delegation to represent South Indian Cinema at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. A Master of Science and Master of Fine Arts holder from Rutgers University and Howard University respectively, Sekhar Kammula made his directorial debut with the independent film ''Dollar Dreams'' (2000), which won him the National Film Award for Best First film of a director. A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception). Comedy is one of the oldest genres in film and it is derived from the classical comedy in theatre. Some of the earliest silent films were comedies, as slapstick comedy often relies on visual depictions, without requiring sound. When sound films became more prevalent during the 1930s, comedy films took another swing, as laughter could result from burlesque situations but also dialogue. ''Oh Manapenne!'' ( ) is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Kaarthikk Sundar in his directorial debut and written by Deepak Sundarrajan.
