Thanaleng Railway Station
Thanaleng station, also known as Dongphosy station (''Ban Dong Phosy'' in Lao), is a railway station in Dongphosy village, Hadxayfong District, Vientiane Prefecture, Laos. It is east of the Lao capital city of Vientiane and north of the Lao-Thai border on the Mekong River. The station opened on 5 March 2009, becoming part of the first international railway link serving Laos. Originally intended for use as a passenger station, Lao officials have stated their intention to convert it to a rail freight terminal to provide a low-cost alternative to road freight, the main mode of transport for goods entering Thailand. The station provides a connection between Vientiane and the capital cities of three other ASEAN nations: Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, and several major Southeast Asian ports. Phankham Viphavanh
Phankham Viphavanh ( lo, ພັນຄຳ ວິພາວັນ; born 14 April 1951) is a Laotian politician, a member of the Politburo and the Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. He became the Prime Minister of Laos, who was elected by the National Assembly of Laos in March 2021. He retired in December 2022. He was deputy minister in the prime minister's office from 2003 to 2005, then was elected to the eigth Party Central Committee in 2006, and became governor of Houaphanh province. He was elected to politburo in 2011, and then held the position of Minister of Education and Sports. He was also the president of the Lao–Vietnam Friendship Association. Minivan (sometimes called simply as van) is a North American car classification for vehicles designed to transport passengers in the rear seating row(s), with reconfigurable seats in two or three rows. The ''Bangkok Post'' is an English-language daily newspaper published in Bangkok, Thailand. It is published in broadsheet and digital formats. The first issue was sold on 1 August 1946. Yuxi–Mohan Railway
The Yuxi–Mohan railway or Yumo railway (), is a Chinese section of the China–Laos railway in Yunnan Province of southwest China. The line runs from Yuxi in central Yunnan to Mohan, Yunnan, Mohan, a town in Mengla County on the border with Laos in the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture of southern Yunnan. The Yumo railway is designed to "provide efficient, safe, low-carbon, affordable, railway transport" within Yunnan Province. Branching from the existing Kunming–Yuxi–Hekou railway at Yuxi and connecting directly to the Boten–Vientiane railway on the Laotian side, the Yumo railway is a part of the Kunming–Singapore railway and will eventually carry traffic across the Greater Mekong Subregion.
