Construction

Construction on two early-stage segments began on September 1, 2015 with the full-scale construction on the line on 19 April 2016. According to Xinhua News Agency in Yuxi, the line is scheduled to be 507.4 km long, costing 51,609 million yuan, reach maximum speeds of 160 km/h, taking 6 years to complete construction.
