Thailand Development Research Institute
The Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI – th, สถาบันวิจัยเพื่อการพัฒนาประเทศไทย) is a non-profit non-government Thai policy think tank focused on social and economic development issues. The institute has seven major research programs: Human resources and social development; international economic relations; macroeconomic policy; natural resources and environment; science and technology development; sectoral economics; and Law for development. History TDRI was established by the initiative of the National Economic and Social Development Board as a public policy research institute in 1984 with the intention of creating a research agency that is independent from the government and bureaucracy. National Economic And Social Development Board
The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council ( th, สำนักงานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ), also known as NESDC, is a national economic planning agency of Thailand. It is a government department reporting directly to the Office of the Prime Minister. The NESDC maintains four regional offices in Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Songkhla, and Nonthaburi. Prem Tinsulanonda ( th, เปรม ติณสูลานนท์, , ; 26 August 1920 – 26 May 2019) was a Thai military officer, politician, and statesman who served as the Prime Minister of Thailand from 3 March 1980 to 4 August 1988, during which time he was credited with ending a communist insurgency and presiding over accelerating economic growth. As president of the Privy Council, he served as Regent of Thailand from the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej on 13 October 2016, until the 1 December 2016 proclamation of Vajiralongkorn as King. The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) was a federal Canadian organization that administered foreign aid programs in developing countries. The agency was merged into the Department of Foreign Affairs in 2013 by the federal government under Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
