Thai Beverage, better known as ThaiBev ( th, ไทยเบฟ) (), is Thailand's largest and one of Southeast Asia's largest beverage companies, with distilleries in Thailand, UK, and China. It is owned by Thai Chinese billionaire business magnate Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi. Listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, Thai Beverage plc has a market capitalization in excess of US$13 billion. In 2004, the firm announced it had succeeded in a US$11.2 billion deal to take over the conglomerate Fraser and Neave, adding to the group's portfolio of assets. History ThaiBev was founded on 29 October 2003 with the consolidation of 58 beer and spirits businesses, among them Chang beer, second in the beer market after Singha. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi ( th, เจริญ สิริวัฒนภักดี; ; ; born 2 May 1944) is a Thai business magnate and investor. He is the founder of Thai Beverage, and the chairman of conglomerates TCC Group and Fraser and Neave, Ltd (F&N). Sabeco (also SABECO, Saigon Alcohol Beer and Beverage Joint Stock Corporation, vi, Tổng Công ty Cổ phần Bia – Rượu – Nước giải khát Sài Gòn) is Vietnam's leading beer producer. It was under the authority of Vietnam's Ministry of Trade and Industry but is now a subsidiary of ThaiBev. In 2011, Sabeco produced 1.2 billion liters of beer, 51.4% of the national market. Its main brands are Bia Saigon (Saigon Beer) and 333 Beer. Sabeco has several regional subsidiaries throughout Vietnam. SangSom (แสงโสม) is a rum from Thailand, distilled from sugarcane. It was introduced in November 1977 and has since become a dominant brand in the Thai spirits market. Over 70 million litres are sold in Thailand each year, achieving a market share of more than 70 percent in its category. Mekhong (แม่โขง) is Thailand's first domestically produced branded golden spirit. It is also known as "The Spirit of Thailand". History In 1914, the ownership of the privately-owned Sura Bangyikhan Distillery (lit. Bangyikhan Liquor Distillery) was transferred to the government of Thailand to be under the supervision of the Excise Department, Ministry of Finance. The department then opened a bidding for a concession to raise money for the treasury and authorized the bidder to produce and distribute spirits within a specified area. The concession agreement expired in 1927 during the reign of King Prajadhipok. The Department then cancelled the concession for spirit distillation and distribution before taking over the spirit production on 1 April 1929. Elephant
Elephants are the largest existing land animals. Three living species are currently recognised: the African bush elephant, the African forest elephant, and the Asian elephant. They are the only surviving members of the family Elephantidae and the order Proboscidea. The order was formerly much more diverse during the Pleistocene, but most species became extinct during the Late Pleistocene epoch. Bang Ban District
Bang Ban (, ) is a district ('' amphoe'') of Ayutthaya province, in central Thailand. History The district was originally created in 1894 as Sena Nai District, with its district office in Sai Noi Sub-district. Later Mr Khiao Bangban (นายเขียว บางบาล) donated a piece of land for the building of the new district office in Bang Ban Sub-district.
