Terry Taylor (basketball)
Terry Taylor (born September 23, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Austin Peay Governors. Early life and high school career Taylor grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky and attended Bowling Green High School. During his junior year, he averaged 15.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game and was named second-team All-State. Taylor committed to play college basketball at Austin Peay State University going into his senior year over offers from Texas Southern and Southeast Missouri State. As a senior, Taylor averaged 17.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game and was named first team All-State and the MVP of the Kentucky Sweet 16 after averaging 20.5 points and 10 rebounds where he led Bowling Green to its first state title, alongside Zion Harmon, former consensus four-star recruit in the class of 2021. Austin Peay Governors Basketball
The Austin Peay Governors men's basketball team represents Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. The Governors play in the ASUN Conference starting in 2022–23, following 61 seasons in the Ohio Valley Conference. The team's most recent appearance in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament to date was in 2016, making the field of 68 by virtue of having won the 2016 Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball tournament. The Governors' head coach is Nate James. The 2022–23 season will not only be Peay's first in the ASUN Conference, but also its last at its current on-campus home of Winfield Dunn Center. 2020 NBA Draft
The 2020 NBA draft was held on November 18, 2020. The draft was originally scheduled to be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 25, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was instead conducted at ESPN's facilities in Bristol, Connecticut, with the event held via videoconferencing. National Basketball Association (NBA) teams took turns selecting amateur United States college basketball players and other eligible players, including international players. Zion Lamont Harmon (born March 12, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Bethune-Cookman of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Early life and high school career At age 11, Harmon made headlines as the top fourth-grade basketball player in the United States. In seventh grade, he joined the varsity team at Lighthouse Christian School in Antioch, Tennessee. He became the first seventh-grade player to compete in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.
