Terra Nova FPSO
''Terra Nova'' is a Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessel (FPSO) for servicing the Terra Nova (oil field), Terra Nova oil and gas field. Since 2019 the vessel has been off-field undergoing a life extension programme, initially at Bull Arm, Bull Arm Fabrication Site, then Navantia, Navantia, El Ferrol. In February 2023 the vessel returned to Canada, as of 12th April is undergoing recommissioning at Bull Arm. The Terra Nova field is operated by Suncor Energy Inc., with a 37.675% interest, located approximately east off the coast of Newfoundland (island), Newfoundland, Canada in the North Atlantic Ocean. The Terra Nova field is south of the successful Hibernia (oil field), Hibernia field and the more recent White Rose (oil field), White Rose field. Jeanne D'Arc Basin
The Jeanne d'Arc Basin is an offshore sedimentary basin located about 340 kilometres (~210 miles) to the basin centre, east-southeast of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. This basin formed in response to the large scale plate tectonic forces that ripped apart the super-continent Pangea and also led to sea-floor spreading in the North Atlantic Ocean. This basin is one of a series of rift basins that are located on the broad, shallow promontory of continental crust known as the Grand Banks of Newfoundland off Canada's east coast. White Rose is an oil field development project off the coast of Newfoundland. Husky Energy is the operator and 72.5 per cent interest holder in the White Rose oil fields. Discovered in 1984, the White Rose offshore oil field is located in the Jeanne d'Arc Basin 350 kilometres east of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
