Teresa Colom I Pich
Teresa Colom i Pich (born 12 December 1973) is an Andorran author and poet. Biography Maria Teresa Colom i Pich was born in La Seu d'Urgell in 1973. She initially studied economics, graduating from Pompeu Fabra University and went to work in a career in finance. Colom won a number of awards for her writing and left work to write full time. Colom won the Miquel Martí i Pol prize in 2000 and the Maria Àngels Anglada prize in 2016. She is considered one of the most important poets in Andorra. Her works have been translated into a number of languages including Spanish, French and Italian. La Seu D'Urgell
La Seu d'Urgell (; es, Seo de Urgel, formerly in ca, Urgell}) is a town located in the Catalan Pyrenees in Spain. La Seu d'Urgell is also the capital of the comarca Alt Urgell, head of the judicial district of la Seu d'Urgell and the seat of Bishop of Urgell, one of the Andorra co-princes. Pompeu Fabra University ( ca, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, UPF, ; es, link=no, Universidad Pompeu Fabra) is a public university located in the city of Barcelona, Catalonia in Spain. Miquel Martí I Pol
Miquel Martí i Pol (; 19 March 1929 – 11 November 2003) was one of the most popular and widely-read Catalan poets of the twentieth century, publishing more than 1,500 poems. Biography At the age of 14, Martí i Pol started work in the office of a textile factory. He published his first poetry when he was only 15. Based on his experience in the factory, he wrote in 1959 a collection of poems called ''La fàbrica'' (the Factory). However, they were to remain unpublished until 1970 as his family were afraid that their publication might cause him to lose his job. He worked at the factory until 1973, when at the age of 43 the multiple sclerosis he had contracted forced him to quit. Martí i Pol spent his whole life in the town of his birth, Roda de Ter. The Maria Àngels Anglada Prize (in Catalan: ''Premi de Narrativa Maria Àngels Anglada''; ) is a Catalan literary award, given annually by the ''Institut Ramon Muntaner'' ("Ramon Muntaner Secondary School"), in Figueres (Spain), with the aim of contributing to the promotion of Catalan literature, reaffirming the civic and cultural projection of the school and extolling the memory of the writer Maria Àngels Anglada (Vic, 1930 - Figueres, 1999), ex-professor of the centre. The Fundació Ramon Llull (, English: "Ramon Llull Foundation"), also known by the acronym FRL, is an international organization constituted in 2008 in order to promote Catalan language and culture internationally.
