Maria Àngels Anglada Prize
The Maria Àngels Anglada Prize (in Catalan: ''Premi de Narrativa Maria Àngels Anglada''; ) is a Catalan literary award, given annually by the ''Institut Ramon Muntaner'' ("Ramon Muntaner Secondary School"), in Figueres (Spain), with the aim of contributing to the promotion of Catalan literature, reaffirming the civic and cultural projection of the school and extolling the memory of the writer Maria Àngels Anglada (Vic, 1930 - Figueres, 1999), ex-professor of the centre. The award has the support of the Geli-Anglada family and the sponsorship of the ''Ajuntament de Figueres'' ("Figueres City Council") and the ''Diputació de Girona'' ("Girona Provincial Council"), as well as the collaboration of the ''Consell Comarcal de l'Alt Empordà'' ("Alt Empordà County Council"). Maria Àngels Anglada
Maria Àngels Anglada was a Catalan people, Catalan poet and novelist. She was born in Vic, Spain, in 1920. She received a degree in Classical Philology at the University of Barcelona. Her first novel, ''Les closes'', won the Josep Pla Award. Her 1985 novel ''Sandàlies d'escuma'' (Sandals of Foam) won the Lletra d'Or Prize. She died in 1999. Jaume Cabré
Jaume Cabré i Fabré (; born 1947) is a Catalan philologist, novelist and screenwriter. He was one of the founders of the Catalan literary collective, '' Ofèlia Dracs''. He was born in Terrassa. He graduated in Catalan Philology from the University of Barcelona, is a high-school teacher on leave of absence, professor at the University of Lleida, and a member of the Philological Section of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans. During many years he has combined literary writing with teaching. He has also worked in television and cinematographic scriptwriting. Irene Solà
Irene Solà Sáez (born 17 August 1990) is a Catalan writer and an artist. She has exhibited her work at the CCCB in Barcelona and the Whitechapel Gallery in London. Her first book of poems, ''Bèstia'' won the 2012 Amadeu Oller Prize and her novel ''Els dics'', the 2017 Documenta Prize. Joan-Lluís Lluís (Perpignan, 1963) is a Catalan writer. His works include five novels and a collection of essays entitled ''Conversa amb el meu gos sobre França i els francesos'' (Conversation with my Dog about France and the French, 2002). This last work, which Lluís himself describes as a pamphlet, focuses on the precarious linguistic situation of the Catalans under French administration. He is co-author, with musician Pascal Comelade, of a manifesto published in 1998 by linguistic and cultural activists from Northern Catalonia. Tina Vallès (born in Barcelona in 1976) is a Catalan writer, proofreader and translator. She graduated in Catalan Philology at the University of Barcelona in 1999. She has worked as a proofreader for several publishing houses in the Catalonia. He has translated several works from Spanish to Catalan, and has written several books of fiction, including ''El parèntesi més llarg (The Longest Parenthesis)'', with which she won the Mercè Rodoreda Award.
