Teqball Federation Of Armenia
The Teqball Federation of Armenia ( hy, Հայաստանի Teqball ֆեդերացիա), also known as the National Teqball Federation of Armenia, is the regulating body of teqball in Armenia, governed by the Armenian Olympic Committee. The headquarters of the federation are located in Yerevan. History The Teqball Federation of Armenia was established in 2020 and is currently led by President Yuri Sargsyan. The Federation oversees the training of teqball specialists, also known as teqers, and is responsible for the development of teqball in the country. The Federation organizes Armenia's participation in European and international teqball competitions. The Federation also organizes national teqball tournaments, including the weekly "Teqball Series" competitions hosted from the Teqball Centre in Yerevan. Back and forth, the players hit a football with any part of the body except arms and hands. Teqball can be played between two players as a singles game, or between four players as a doubles game. A number of world-class footballers have been attracted by the game, and after being added to the programmes for the 2021 Asian Beach Games and the 2023 European Games, the sport is now aiming for Olympic inclusion. The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ, French: Fédération Internationale de Teqball) is the governing body for the sport of teqball and para teqball. FITEQ is responsible for the organisation of teqball's major international tournaments, notably the Teqball World Championships. A wide array of sports are played in Armenia. Popular sports in Armenia include football, basketball, volleyball, and ice hockey.
