Taylor Anderson (curler)
Taylor Anderson (born February 25, 1995) is an American curler from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Along with her twin sister Sarah, she was United States National Champion in 2019 and World Junior silver medalist in 2016. Curling career Juniors Anderson was a member of Team USA at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics, playing lead on the team, which was skipped by Korey Dropkin. They finished in fifth place. In the mixed doubles event, Anderson was paired with Great Britain's Duncan Menzies. The pair were eliminated in the quarterfinals. Anderson was the alternate for Team USA (skipped by Cory Christensen) at the 2015 World Junior Curling Championships. The team finished in 5th place, and Anderson played in two games. The next season, Anderson was promoted to second on the team. The team represented the United States at the 2016 World Junior Curling Championships, where they made it all the way to the gold medal final, where they lost to Canada. The Molson Cash Spiel was an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, held as part of the women's World Curling Tour. World Curling Tour
The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. Teams earned points in every event with the top 30 qualifying for the season ending " V.O. Cup", today known as the Players' Championship. Its first president and CEO was Lukowich. Cory Christensen
Cory Thiesse ( Christensen; born December 1, 1994) is an American curler from Duluth, Minnesota. She is currently the defending U.S. champion skip, and represented her country at the 2022 World Women's Curling Championship. Christensen was one of the top junior women's curlers in the United States, playing in six national junior championships and winning four of them. She was the alternate on Nina Roth's 2018 United States Olympic team. In 2019 Thiesse and mixed doubles partner John Shuster won the United States Mixed Doubles Championship and earned the bronze medal at the World Mixed Doubles Championship. Korey Dropkin (born June 11, 1995) is an American curler originally from Southborough, Massachusetts. Curling career Juniors As a junior curler, Dropkin won three United States Junior Curling Championships, playing third for brother Stephen in 2012 and skipping in 2013 and 2016 while curling at Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, MA. As such, he played for the United States at the World Junior Curling Championships, finishing 5th at the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships and 7th at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships.
