Tatar Cabinet
Cabinet The current council, Tatar cabinet, which replaced the Erhürman cabinet is appointed on 22 May 2019 by the president, Mustafa Akıncı. The cabinet consists of 10 ministers formed by a coalition of the National Unity Party (UBP) and People's Party (HP). UBP got 7 and HP got 3 ministers in the cabinet. HP withdrew from the coalition on 6 October 2020. However, the official resignation process of the ministers and the cabinet did not proceed due to the election process. Hasan Taçoy
Hasan Taçoy (born 1963) is a Turkish Cypriot politician who served as the Minister of Public Works and Transport between 2009 and 2010 and between 2014 and 2015. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1986, studying economics and political science. He then worked in commerce, taking part in the Assembly of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce for three terms and the Board of Directors of the Association of Young Businesspeople for two terms. He worked in the Board of Directors of the credit company owned by the Evkaf Administration in 1996 and also administered a handball club. He got involved in the youth branch of the National Unity Party (UBP) and became the head of the youth branch of Lefkoşa District. Faiz Sucuoğlu
Faiz Sucuoğlu (born 27 August 1961) is a Turkish Cypriot politician who was the prime minister of Northern Cyprus from 5 November 2021 to 12 May 2022. Biography Sucuoğlu was born in Polis on 27 August 1961. His father, Mehmet Salih Sucuoğlu (died 2018), later served as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Settlement in Northern Cyprus. After graduating from Lefkoşa Türk Lisesi (Nicosia Turkish High School), he attained a scholarship from the German government to study medicine in that country. He completed his medical education by studying his final two years at the Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine. He then specialised in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Zeynep Kamil Hospital in Istanbul, and worked there after the completion of his training until 1993, when he returned to Cyprus. Mustafa Akıncı (; born 28 December 1947) is a Turkish Cypriot politician who was the president of Northern Cyprus from April 2015 until October 2020. An architect by profession, Akıncı in 1976 became the first elected mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality in Northern Cyprus, at the age of 28. He defeated a candidate endorsed by President Rauf Denktaş as the candidate of the Communal Liberation Party (TKP). He held this position for an uninterrupted term of 14 years until 1990, leading several projects for the city that won him international awards including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and collaborating with his Greek Cypriot counterpart.
