Taroko Park
The SKM Park is an amusement park and outlet in Cianjhen District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is owned by Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. SKM Park is positioned as an "international lifestyle complex" with restaurants, lifestyle theme stores, and entertainment and lifestyle facilities in a semi-open-air shopping area. History The park was opened on 9 May 2016 during a grand opening ceremony attended by Taroko Group officials and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu. On 26 January 2022, Taroko Park was reopened under the name of SKM Park and officially transformed into an outlet mall. Location The park spreads over an area of 87,120 m2. It features a 600-meter long circuit race track covering an area of 30,000 m2. The shopping center consists of more than 200 retailers built with European architecture style. Cianjhen District () is a district in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It covers an area of and is subdivided into 59 villiages. The District has a population is 180,828, as of May 2022. It is the fifth-most populated district in Kaohsiung, with a population density of 9,457 people per square kilometer, or 24,494 people per square mile. E-Da Outlet Mall
The E-Da Outlet Mall () is an outlet store in Dashu District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan that opened on December 18, 2010. It is the first outlet mall in Taiwan. With a total floor area of , the neoclassical-style mall has facilities including a ferris wheel, cinema, entertainment park and hotel. Origin and location After the Taiwanese company E United, which was founded by the entrepreneur Lin I-shou, had already put I-Shou University (1986) and the E-Da hospital (2004) into operation, the next major project was the construction of the shopping, hotel and leisure complex E-Da World into operation. The name of the project is based on 義大 (Yìdà), the short name of I-Shou University, in the immediate vicinity of which construction work began in March 2006. Kaohsiung Metro () is a rapid transit and light rail system covering the metropolitan area of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Its rapid transit network is known as Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit or Kaohsiung MRT. Construction of the MRT started in October 2001. The MRT opened in 2008 and the Circular light rail in 2015. Chen Chu or Kiku Chen (; born 10 June 1950) is the current President of the Control Yuan and Chair of the National Human Rights Commission. Before assuming her current post, Chen had served as Secretary-General to the President from 2018 to 2020 and Mayor of Kaohsiung from 2006 to 2018, making her the longest-serving mayor of the city since the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. is an international department store chain with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. It is a subsidiary of Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings, which also owns the Isetan department store chain.
