Tallinn City Archives ( et, Tallinna linnaarhiiv) is an archive in Tallinn, Estonia. According to the archive's statute its purposes are as follows: "collect, organize and preserve the archival materials of historical and ongoing municipal institutions of Tallinn, as well as other records of archival value which are important to the study of the City of Tallinn and its history, and guarantee public access to them". Tallinn
Tallinn () is the most populous and capital city of Estonia. Situated on a bay in north Estonia, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea, Tallinn has a population of 437,811 (as of 2022) and administratively lies in the Harju ''maakond'' (county). Tallinn is the main financial, industrial, and cultural centre of Estonia. An archive is an accumulation of historical records or materials – in any medium – or the physical facility in which they are located.
