Tajikistan Independence Day Military Parade
The Tajikistan Independence Day Military Parade is the main event of the Independence Day of Tajikistan. This parade is held every 5 years in Dushanbe on September 9. The participants in the parade are from agencies of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan. The parade route is made up of Rudaki Avenue, Dousti Square and Hofizi Sherozi Avenue. Summary of the parade Arrival Honors and Parade Inspection At the sound of the Presidential Fanfare, the President of Tajikistan (in their capacity as commander-in-chief), followed by the Prime Minister of Tajikistan, the Mayor of Dushanbe, the Chief of the General Staff, the Minister of Internal Affairs, and the commanders of the different branches of the armed forces arrive on the central grandstand in front of the Ismoil Somoni Monument on Dousti Square. Dushanbe ( tg, Душанбе, ; ; russian: Душанбе) is the capital and largest city of Tajikistan. , Dushanbe had a population of 863,400 and that population was largely Tajik. Kamal Kharazi
Sayyid Kamal Kharazi ( fa, کمال خرازی, born 1 December 1944) is an Iranian reformist politician and diplomat who was the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 20 August 1997 to 24 August 2005 as appointed by President Mohammad Khatami serving for eight years. He was replaced by Manouchehr Mottaki who was appointed by the next President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He is currently member of the Expediency Discernment Council. Early life and education Kharazi was born in Tehran in 1944. The somoni ( tg, cомонӣ, ISO 4217 code: TJS; abbreviation:SM) is the currency of Tajikistan. It is subdivided into 100 dirams ( tg, дирам). History The somoni was introduced on 30 October 2000, replacing the rouble, at the rate of SM 1 = 1,000 Rbls. One somoni is divided into 100 dirams. Diram banknotes were first introduced on 30 October 2000, and coins were later introduced in 2001 with the intention of creating a more efficient monetary system and gradually replacing the diram notes. Colonel General Sherali Mirzo () is a Tajik Colonel General who serves as the minister of defence since 20 November 2013, succeeding Sherali Khayrulloyev. Biography Early life and military career Mirzo was born in 1967 in the Moskovskiy District (present-day Hamadoni) in the Khatlon Region in the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic. He graduated from the Perm Higher Military Command Academy and joined the armed forces after independence in 1994. During the Tajik civil war, he commanded the military forces of the Vose' District.
