Taizhou Library
The Taizhou City Library (in ), also known as Taizhou Library (), abbreviated as Tai Tu (), is a municipal-level public library located in Taizhou, Zhejiang, Taizhou, Zhejiang, China, People's Republic of China. It is supervised by the Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports, and is an affiliated unit of the latter. The library building is situated at 168 Hexie Road, Jiaojiang, Taizhou, Jiaojiang (Taizhou). As of 2019, the total collection of documents in the library reached 876,774 volumes, making it a nationally recognized National first-class library, first-grade library evaluated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (China), Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The public library collection and reading rooms in Taizhou can be traced back to the Republic of China (1912–1949), Republican era. Jiaojiang
Jiaojiang District ( Tai-chow dialect: Tsiao-kông K'ü; ) is a district and the seat of the prefecture-level city of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province, China. It is named after the Jiao River (Jiaojiang in Chinese). The district has its mainland area of , and its islands area is . The total area is . As of 2003, the population was approximately 471,500. It has an average annual precipitation of . The average temperature in January is 6 °C, in July it is 28 °C, and average annual temperature is 17 °C. Until 1980, the district was under the administration of Huangyan and was called Haimen District. When Haimen was upgraded to a county-level city in 1981, it was renamed as Jiaojiang City to avoid confusion with Haimen in Jiangsu province. Yuhuan City Library (formerly known as Yuhuan County Library, also known as Yuhuan Library) is a county-level public library located in Yuhuan, Zhejiang, Zhejiang Province, China, established in August 1978. The old location is at Guangling Road No. 69, Yucheng Subdistrict, Yuhuan, Yucheng, Yuhuan, while the new library located in the South Zone of Yuhuan Economic Development Zone is under construction. Ye Wenling (; born 4 November 1942) is a Chinese novelist. She was a member of the 6th, 7th and 8th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Biography Ye was born in Chumen Town, Yuhuan, Zhejiang, China in 1942. She has a brother, Ye Peng (). Ye published her first short stories ''A Couple of Things'' () and ''Seven Cents'' () when she was 13 years old. In 1957, Ye enrolled in the Huangyan High School (), but she dropped out when her brother Ye Peng was labeled as a rightist by the government. The Taizhou Museum (in Chinese language, Chinese: ), also known as Taizhou City Museum, abbreviated as Tai Bo, is a comprehensive municipal museum in Taizhou, Zhejiang, Taizhou City, Zhejiang, Zhejiang Province, China. It had a trial opening on July 1, 2016, and officially opened on July 12. The museum is located at 168 Aihua Road, Jiaojiang, Taizhou, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, and is divided into four levels. The permanent exhibitions include 'Shanhun Haipo' () showcasing Taizhou's historical and cultural heritage, and 'Dadi Qinghuai' () focusing on Taizhou's folk culture. The Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE, ) is the national academy of the People's Republic of China for engineering. It was established in 1994 and is an institution of the State Council of China. The CAE and the Chinese Academy of Sciences are often referred to together as the "Two Academies". Its current president is Li Xiaohong. Guan Zhaoye
Guan Zhaoye (; 4 October 1929 – 26 December 2022) was a Chinese architect who was a professor at Tsinghua University, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Biography Guan was born in Beijing, on 4 October 1929, while his ancestral home is in Nanhai, Guangdong. His father was a poet, scholar and industrialist. His elder male cousin Guan Zhaozhi was a mathematician and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He attended Beijing Yuying High School, a school run by the American Church. In 1947, he entered Yenching University, but transferred to Tsinghua University a year later. After graduating in 1952, Guan stayed and taught at Tsinghua University, where he was promoted to associate professor in 1978 and to full professor in 1984. Radio-frequency Identification
Radio-frequency identification (RFID) uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. An RFID system consists of a tiny radio transponder, a radio receiver and transmitter. When triggered by an electromagnetic interrogation pulse from a nearby RFID reader device, the tag transmits digital data, usually an identifying inventory number, back to the reader. This number can be used to track inventory goods. Passive tags are powered by energy from the RFID reader's interrogating radio waves. Active tags are powered by a battery and thus can be read at a greater range from the RFID reader, up to hundreds of meters. Luqiao District (; Tai-chow dialect: Lu-giao K'ü) is a district of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China. The district has an area of and a population of approximately 425,200.
