The Tainan City Hakka Assembly Hall of Culture () is a cultural center in South District, Tainan, Taiwan. History The construction of the cultural center was completed and opened in 2010. Architecture The building was designed with Hakka architectural style. Its main entrance is designed with wooden sign and lanterns with pattern. Exhibitions The center exhibits various Hakka-related artifacts, such as crafts, foods and architecture. It also includes the history of Hakka people and culture. Transportation The center is accessible within walking distance southwest of Tainan Station of Taiwan Railways. South District () is a District (Taiwan), district home to 121,133 people located in Tainan, Taiwan. History In February 2002, Qingquan Village and Longgang Village were combined to be Kunni Village; Songshan Village and Nanshan Village were merged into Songan Village; Zhonghe Village, Juexin Village and Haifeng Village were merged into Yongning Village; Nandu Village was divided into Nandu Village and Nanhua Village. The Hakka (), sometimes also referred to as Hakka Han, or Hakka Chinese, or Hakkas are a Han Chinese subgroup whose ancestral homes are chiefly in the Hakka-speaking provincial areas of Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Sichuan, Hunan, Zhejiang, Hainan, Guizhou in China, as well as in Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Pingtung County, and Kaohsiung City in Taiwan. Tainan () is a railway station in Tainan, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways Administration. Situated in centre of the old town square of Tainan, Tainan Station is the main station of the city and also one of the major stations along the western trunk line in Taiwan. The Shalun line, opened in 2011, allows through services to link the station with THSR Tainan Station. Overview The station has one island platform and one side platform.
