Hasan Tahsin Mayatepek
Hasan Tahsin Mayatepek was a Turkish diplomat. He got his surname from his position as Turkish ambassador in Mexico (31 March 1935 – 7 March 1938) where he concluded that the Mayan word for 'hill' () was the same word as in Turkish (''tepe''). His son Huveyda Mayatepek married to Enver Pasha's daughter Turkan Mayatepek. Diplomat and businessman Osman Mayatepek is his grandson. Career Mayatepek wrote for years about the civilization of the Maya, after which he was sent to Mexico in 1935 for three years by Atatürk as the new ambassador of Turkey to Mexico. Abu Tahsin Al-Salhi
Abu Tahsin al-Salihi ( ar, أبو تØسين الصالØÙŠ; 1 July 1953 – 29 September 2017) was an Iraqi veteran sniper. A volunteer in the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, he is credited with killing over 384 ISIS members during the War in Iraq (2013–2017), receiving the nicknames "The Sheikh of Snipers" and "Hawk Eye." Before the War in Iraq (2013–2017), al-Salihi fought in the Yom Kippur War, the Iran–Iraq War, the invasion of Kuwait, the Gulf War, and the 2003 US invasion of Iraq. According to al-Salihi, in the Yom Kippur War he was part of an Iraqi brigade fighting on Golan Heights. Around May 2015 al-Salihi joined the Popular Mobilization Forces and was stationed in the Makhoul Mountains in northern Iraq, armed with a Steyr anti materiel rifle. Soeraedi Tahsin (born July 6 in Pandeglang, died February 25, 2003 in Amsterdam), also known as Eddie Soeraedi, was an Indonesian journalist and diplomat. Hasan Tahsin (1800/1801 – 18 August 1861), also known as Kör Tahsin ("Blind Tahsin"), was a Turkish Cypriot divan poetry, divan poet and Islamic jurist. He rose to high-ranking judicial positions in the Ottoman Empire, becoming the kazasker of Rumelia. Not much of his written work survives. Life Hasan Tahsin was born in Nicosia. His father was Hacı Mehmed Agha, the ''muhassıl'' of Cyprus and a ''Surre-i Hümâyûn, surre emini'', who owned a house in Damascus known as "Beytü'ş-şürefâ". Hasan Tahsin Pasha (1845–1918), also known as Hasan Tahsin Mesarea, was a senior Ottoman military officer, who served in the Greco-Turkish War of 1897, and in the First Balkan War. Biography and career Hasan Tahsin was an Albanian, born in Mesare (located in Albania on the border with Greece), which at the time was part of the ''kaza'' of Leskovik. During his youth, he attended and graduated from the Greek Zosimaia School at Ioannina, and spoke Greek fluently. He began service as a gendarme ca. 1870 in Katerini, and later joined the Ottoman Army as an NCO. Hasan Tahsin was the code name of Osman Nevres (1888 – 15 May 1919), a Turkish nationalist, patriot, and journalist of Dönmeh descent. Hailed as a Turkish war hero, his name has been given by the Turkish Armed Forces to the Information Center of the Turkish General Staff (Genelkurmay İletişim Başkanlığı'nın Hasan Tahsin Bilgi Merkezi). Qudsia Tahseen (born 15 December 1964) is a Professor of Zoology at Aligarh Muslim University and teaches Animal Ecology as well as Nematology to the students of the Masters programme. Her areas of research include taxonomy and developmental biology of terrestrial and aquatic nematodes. Hasan Tahsin Uzer
Hasan Tahsin Bey (27 August 1878 – 5 December 1939; surnamed Uzer after 1934) was an Ottoman and later Turkish bureaucrat and politician. Throughout his career as a politician, Tahsin served as a governor to several Ottoman cities including Aydın, Erzurum, Van and the province of Syria. Thereafter, he served as deputy to the cities of Ardahan, Erzurum, and Konya. During the Armenian genocide, he was complicit in the Kemah massacres. Tahsin Yazıcı () (1892 in Bitola, Monastir – February 11, 1971 in Ankara) was an Ottoman Army (1861–1922), Ottoman Army officer and later a Turkish Army general and politician. Biography He was born to his father Ali Bey and his mother Ganimet Hanım in Bitola, Monastir, Ottoman Empire (present-day Bitola, North Macedonia) in 1892. He was recorded in Kefçedede wards, Üsküdar District of Istanbul Province.
