Tabaluga
Tabaluga is a German media franchise featuring a fictional green dragon, created by German rock musician Peter Maffay, children's songwriter Rolf Zuckowski and author Gregor Rottschalk. Artist Helme Heine drew the image of Tabaluga as it is currently known. The character Tabaluga was first introduced by Maffay in the musical fairy tale ''Tabaluga ... oder die Reise zur Vernunft'' (Tabaluga or... The Journey to Reason) in 1983. This first studio album was the step to success: within the next years some Helme Heine books, four sequel concept studio albums, two tours, a stage musical, ''Tabaluga und Lilli'' (''Tabaluga and Lilli''), based on the third concept album and many TV cartoons which have been broadcasting in over 100 countries round the world followed and a children's game show. Peter Maffay
Peter Alexander Makkay (born 30 August 1949), known as Peter Maffay (), is a Romanian-born German musician, singer, and composer. Early life Born in Braşov (german: link=no, Kronstadt), Romania, the son of a German (Transylvanian Saxon), he was 14 when his family relocated to his parents' West Germany in 1963. In the same year, he started his first band, The Dukes. After completing his education and working for Chemigraphics, an art manufacturer, Maffay worked in clubs, where he distributed his music. Career Maffay's career started with the publication of his first single, " Du" ("You"). It was his biggest German hit in 1970 and brought him instant fame. With the 1979 album '' Steppenwolf'', he became a major music star in Germany. The album sold 1.6 million copies, making it one of the best selling albums at that time. Alexis (singer)
Alexis (born 2 December 1968) is a German pop and gala singer. She is mainly known for participating in the German "Rudi Carrell Show" (a show similar to "Star Search" or "Pop Idol") in 1989, singing Whitney Houston's song "One Moment In Time" (which brought her a major record deal with Sony Records). She later sang the female lead role on the German Top 10 album "Tabaluga & Lilli" (a conceptual pop record for children, concerning Tabaluga) and later toured Germany with the musical "Tabaluga & Lilli". Mandy Grace Capristo (born 21 March 1990), also known mononymously as Mandy, is a German singer and songwriter. Born in Mannheim and raised in Bürstadt, Capristo was first exposed to singing and dancing competitions in 2001, when she won ''Kiddy Contest'', a reality television singing competition for teens in Austria, with her song ''Ich wünsche mir einen Bankomat''. Helme Heine (born 4 April 1941 in Berlin) is a best-selling German writer, children's book author, illustrator and designer. He currently lives in New Zealand, writing screenplays, audiobook scripts and creating satirical drawings and sculptures. Biography Helme (Helmut) Heine was born in Berlin in 1941. His parents ran different restaurants and hotels. Helme Heine is the brother of author and architect Ernst Wilhelm Heine. Rolf Zuckowski (born 12 May 1947) is a German singer-songwriter. He has written and composed music especially for children, but his songs are very popular among adults, too. His compositions involve children in music throughout their childhood and accompany their daily life. Meanwhile, many of his songs have attained the status of Folk songs. Early life Zuckowski was born in Hamburg, Germany, and attended the Albrecht-Thaer-Gymnasium, where he completed his abitur. Tigerenten Club is a German children's television programme. The programme involves a mix of games, quizzes, cartoons and outside reports from the presenters and children, with the aim to educate and entertain.
