TDG Limited was a goods transportation, distribution, warehousing and supply chain management company based in England with offices also in Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary and Germany. History The company was formed in 1922 as ''The General Lighterage Co Ltd''. It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1950, and changed its name to ''Transport Development Group'' in 1957. It started to expand into Europe in 1963, and acquired ''Van Straaten'' in the Netherlands in August 1999. The name changed to ''TDG plc'' in 2000. The Modern Records Centre (MRC) is the specialist archive service of the University of Warwick in Coventry, England, located adjacent to the Central Campus Library.
