TDG Limited was a goods transportation, distribution, warehousing and supply chain management company based in England with offices also in Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary and Germany. History The company was formed in 1922 as ''The General Lighterage Co Ltd''. It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1950, and changed its name to ''Transport Development Group'' in 1957. It started to expand into Europe in 1963, and acquired ''Van Straaten'' in the Netherlands in August 1999. The name changed to ''TDG plc'' in 2000. The company acquired ''IWT Holdings'', an Irish logistics business, in August 2001, ''Mond & Cie'', a Belgian logistics business, in March 2006 and ''Doman S.A.'', a Spanish logistics business, in February 2007. The Modern Records Centre (MRC) is the specialist archive service of the University of Warwick in Coventry, England, located adjacent to the Central Campus Library. It was established in October 1973 and holds the world's largest archive collection on British industrial relations, as well as archives relating to many other aspects of British social, political and economic history.
