TCR Middle East Series
The TCR Middle East Touring Car Series is a touring car racing series based in the Middle East. History On 15 November 2016, WSC announced that the creation of the TCR Middle East Series. The series was officially launched on 2 December 2016 at the Bahrain International Circuit, where a media and test day were held. The series visits the Dubai Autodrome, Yas Marina Circuit and the Bahrain International Circuit. Relaunch In August 2022, the TCR Middle East Series was relaunched by WSC in cooperation with its new promoter, Driving Force Events. Touring Car Racing
Touring car racing is a motorsport road racing competition with heavily modified road-going cars. It has both similarities to and significant differences from stock car racing, which is popular in the United States. While the cars do not move as fast as those in Formula racing, formula or sports car racing, sports car races, their similarity both to one another and to fans' own vehicles makes for entertaining, well-supported racing. The lesser use of aerodynamics means following cars have a much easier time passing than in open-wheel racing, and the more substantial bodies of the cars makes the subtle bumping and nudging for overtaking much more acceptable as part of racing. As well as short "sprint" races, many touring car series include one or more Endurance racing (motorsport), endurance races, which last anything from 3 to 24 hours and are a test of reliability and pit crews as much as car, driver speed, and consistency. Brandon R. Gdovic (born February 28, 1992) is an American professional racing driver. The Yorktown, Virginia resident competes in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series, driving for Precision Performance Motorsports. Zengő Motorsport is a Hungarian motor racing team founded by Zoltán Zengő. They currently compete in the World Touring Car Cup and others TCR championships. The team also used to compete in the SEAT León Eurocup, where they won driver's titles in both 2009 and 2010, respectively. Csaba Tóth (born 7 October 1967) is a Hungarian racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. Having previously competed in the FIA Central European Zone Circuit Championship. Racing career Tóth began his career in 2016 in the FIA Central European Zone Circuit Championship, taking several podiums during the season. Giacomo Altoè (born 5 October 2000) is an Italian Lamborghini racing driver. Having previously competed in the Italian F4 Championship and TCR Middle East Series amongst others.
