Türkvizyon 2013
Turkvision Song Contest 2013 ( tr, Türkvizyon Şarkı Yarışması 2013) was the inaugural edition of the Turkvision Song Contest, held in Eskişehir, Turkey. Twenty-four Turkic regions, which have either a large Turkic population or a widely spoken Turkic language, participated in the contest. The semi-final took place on 19 December 2013, while the final took place on 21 December 2013. Location Eskişehir is a city in northwestern Turkey and the capital of the Eskişehir Province. According to the 2011 census, the population of the city is 711,396. The city is located on the banks of the Porsuk River, 792 m above sea level, where it overlooks the fertile Phrygian Valley. Ece Vahapoğlu (born 8 March 1978, in Istanbul) is a Turkish author, television host, and journalist. Early life Vahapoğlu was born in Istanbul to a Turkish father, Mehmet Vahapoğlu, and a Bosnian mother Jasmina Muratović. Her great-grandmother's uncle was an Ottoman Pasha. Gunesh Alisafayevna Abasova ( az, Günəş Əlisaf qızı Abbasova; be, Гюнэш Алісафаеўна Абасава, ''Hjuneš Alisafajeŭna Abasava''; born 1979), often known simply as Gunesh, is a Belarusian-Azerbaijani singer-songwriter. Bashkir Language
Bashkir (, ; Bashkir: ''Bashqortsa'', ''Bashqort tele'', ) is a Turkic language belonging to the Kipchak branch. It is co-official with Russian in Bashkortostan. It is spoken by approximately 1.4 million native speakers in Russia, as well as in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Estonia and other neighboring post-Soviet states, and among the Bashkir diaspora. Altai Language
Altai ( alt, Алтай тил, Altay til) is a set of Turkic languages, spoken officially in the Altai Republic, Russia. The standard vocabulary is based on the Southern Altai language, though it's also taught to and used by speakers of the Northern Altai language as well. Gorno–Altai refers to a subgroup of languages in the Altai Mountains. The languages were called Oyrot (ойрот) prior to 1948. Altai is spoken primarily in the Altai Republic. The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT; Turkish : ) is the national public broadcaster of Turkey, founded in 1964. TRT was for many years the only television and radio provider in Turkey. Before the introduction of commercial radio in 1990, and subsequently commercial television in 1992, it held a monopoly on broadcasting. More recent deregulation of the Turkish television broadcasting market produced analogue cable television.
