''Tú eres mi destino'' (English title:''You are my destiny'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Ernesto Alonso for Televisa in 1984. It is an adaptation of the telenovela ''Cartas sin destino'' produced in 1973. Claudia Islas starred as antagonistic protagonist with Enrique Álvarez Félix and María Rubio. Plot The writer and journalist Eugenio Dávila loses his wife and his daughter in a plane crash that also hurts him. It seems that their world has ended, but the life will bring you many more surprises. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. The 3rd TVyNovelas Awards, is an Academy of special awards to the best of soap operas and TV shows. The awards ceremony took place on May 21, 1985 in the Centro Libanés of Mexico City, Mexico D.F. The ceremony was televised in the Mexico by Canal de las estrellas. Claudia Córdoba and Juán Calderón hosted the show. Queta Carrasco (July 4, 1913 — August 8, 1996) was a Mexican character actress. Early life Enriqueta Carrasco Navarrete was born in Mexico City, the daughter of Honorato Carrasco and Ada Navarrete. Her father was an engineer and her mother was an opera singer. Her older sister Ada Carrasco also became an actress, as did Ada's daughter Malena Doria. Ninón Sevilla
Emelia Pérez Castellanos (10 November 19211 January 2015), known professionally as Ninón Sevilla, was a Cuban-Mexican actress and dancer. Early life Sevilla was born and raised in Centro Habana, a popular section of Havana. As a youth, she thought about becoming a missionary nun, but after she started dancing with success in nightclubs and cabarets, she opted for a career in show business. She adopted her stage name in tribute to the legendary French courtesan Ninon de Lenclos and began to work in the chorus of the Cuban comedians Mimí Cal and Leopoldo Fernández, respectively known as "Nananina" and "Tres Patines" . Career Sevilla came to Mexico as part of a show starring the Argentinean singer Libertad Lamarque.
