Tørla
Tørla is a small island in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It has bridge connections to the islands of Humla (to the west) and to Uksenøya (to the east). The island is located in the inner part of the Borgundfjorden, south of the village of Spjelkavik and just north of the island of Sula. The island was part of Borgund Municipality until 1968, when Borgund was merged into Ålesund Municipality. ''Grendahuset'' is a former school that is now a community hall that is situated in the middle part of the island. Humla, Norway
Humla is a small island in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the Borgundfjorden south and west of the island of Uksenøya, north of the island of Sula, and northwest of small island of Tørla. There is a bridge connection from Humla to Tørla, and Tørla has a bridge to Uksenøya. The island was part of Borgund Municipality until 1968 when it was merged into Ålesund Municipality. The town is a sea port and is noted for its concentration of Art Nouveau architecture. Although sometimes internationally spelled by its older name ''Aalesund'', this spelling is obsolete in Norwegian. However, the local football club Aalesunds FK still carries that spelling, having been founded before the official change. Borgund, Møre Og Romsdal
Borgund is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1837 until 1968 when it was merged into Ålesund Municipality. Borgund originally encompassed the large area north of the Storfjorden and south of the Grytafjorden, from the mainland areas of today's Skodje Municipality in the east to the islands of today's Giske Municipality and the ocean in the west. The city of Ålesund was located in the central part of Borgund, however, was not part of Borgund, and it was governed separately. At its dissolution in 1968, the municipality included the islands of Sula, Humla, Tørla, and Ellingsøya, as well as parts of Oksenøya, Hessa, and Nørvøya, plus many minor islands throughout the area. Møre og Romsdal (; en, Møre and Romsdal) is a county in the northernmost part of Western Norway. It borders the counties of Trøndelag, Innlandet, and Vestland. The county administration is located in the town of Molde, while Ålesund is the largest town. Spjelkavik
Spjelkavik is a borough in the town of Ålesund in Ålesund Municipality, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is also called ''"Vika"'' by many locals. Spjelkavik is located on the western end of the island of Uksenøya, at the intersection of the European route E39 and European route E136 highways, just west of the lake Brusdalsvatnet. The villages of Breivika, Myrland, and Løvika lie to the south of Spjelkavik. The population of Spjelkavik is approximately 11,000 inhabitants and is the second largest part of the city. It is also one of areas that grows the quickest in Ålesund. The distance from the city center of Ålesund to Spjelkavik is about . Sula (island)
Sula () is an island in Sula Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island (and municipality) are part of the Ålesund Region surrounding the city of Ålesund. The island lies north of the Storfjorden, northeast of the Sulafjorden, and south of the Borgundfjorden. The island is connected to the nearby island of Uksenøya by a short bridge on the European route E39 highway. The island is mountainous, with almost all residents living in the northern and eastern shores. The southwestern half of the island is mountains, the highest being the tall mountain Vardane. Most residents live in the municipal centre, Langevåg, in the north, and Fiskarstrand and Mauseidvåg are other large population centres.
