Télesphore St. Arnaud (15 December 1870 – 15 January 1948) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1921 to 1926 sitting with the United Farmers caucus in government. Champlain is a municipality in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is located in Les Chenaux Regional County Municipality and the administrative region the Mauricie, on the north shore of St. Lawrence River. Lucien Boudreau
Lucien Boudreau (August 6, 1874 – December 16, 1962) was a politician, mayor of St. Albert, Alberta, and member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta (then called the Provincial Parliament). Early life Boudreau was born in St-Gregoire de Nicolet, Quebec in 1874. In 1893, he moved to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, where he spent two years before moving to Alberta. He found employment as a clerk in a store in Strathcona (now part of Edmonton). Before long, he went into business himself, founding a real estate business that he sold in 1901 to Michael Hogan. That same year, he married Marie Renault of St. Albert and became proprietor of the Astoria Hotel in that city. He ran this hotel until it burned down in 1912. The 1921 Alberta general election was held on July 18, 1921, to elect members to the 5th Alberta Legislative Assembly. It was one of only five times that Alberta has changed governments. The Liberal Party, which had governed the province since its creation in 1905, led by Charles Stewart at the time of the election, was defeated by a very-new United Farmers of Alberta political party. The UFA was an agricultural lobby organization that was contesting its first general election. It had previously elected one MLA in a by-election. Under the Block Voting system, each voter in Edmonton and Calgary could vote for up to five candidates, while Medicine Hat voters could vote for up to two candidates.
