Tåtøy
Tåtøy or Tåtei is an island in Kragerø Municipality in Telemark county, Norway. The island is located in the Kilsfjord, just to the south of the mainland town of Kragerø. The small island of Kragerø lies about to the northeast and the large island of Skåtøy lies about to the east. The island is hilly and partly wooden. The highest point is the tall Høgda. There was a school on the island until 2012 when it was closed. Kragerø Fjordbåtselskap runs a scheduled ferry service between Tåtøy and Stabbestad (on the mainland to the south), to the island of Skåtøy, and to the mainland town of Kragerø to the north. History In the 16th-18th centuries, the Adeler family owned the island and then in the 19th century, Henrich Georg Tønder (1782-1834) purchased the island. Kilsfjord, Telemark
Kilsfjord is a fjord in Kragerø Municipality in Telemark county, Norway. It is one of the inner fjords that flow out into the main Kragerøfjorden. The Kilsfjord extends west from Tåtøy, an island in the archipelago just south of the town of Kragerø. The fjord goes in a westerly direction from Tåtøy and it broadens further in. It then turns to the north and narrows sharply again, before ending at the village of Kil at the head of the fjord. The Kragerø River (''Kragerøvassdraget'') flows into the north eastern side of the fjord, about three miles west of the town of Kragerø. Highway 351 follows the south side of the fjord. Skåtøy
Skåtøy is an island in Kragerø Municipality in Telemark county, Norway. The island is the largest of all of the islands and skerries off the coast of Kragerø. It is located about to the east of the town of Kragerø and the islands of Tåtøy and Kragerø. The island of Jomfruland lies about to the east of Skåtøy. The Jomfruland National Park lies just to the east of the island. Historically, the island was part of the old Skåtøy Municipality which existed from 1882 until 1960 when it became part of Kragerø. Skåtøy Church is located in the central part of the island. The church is nicknamed the "cathedral of the skerries". The partially wooded island has a permanent population of about 250 people, but the island is a popular holiday and summer destination with many vacation homes on the island.
