Tânia Couto
Tânia Couto (born 5 July 1972) is a Portuguese former professional tennis player. Couto won Portugal's national singles championships in 1989 and was also a seven-time national doubles champion. On the professional tour, Couto reached a best singles ranking of 345 and featured in the main draw of the 1990 Estoril Open. As a member of Portugal's Federation Cup team in 1991 and 1992 she registered wins in three singles and four doubles rubbers. Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. Vale Do Lobo
Vale do Lobo is a golf resort in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Vale do Lobo comprises one of the three corners of the Golden Triangle of the Algarve's most affluent and expensive communities. The community hosted the Portuguese Open, part of the PGA European Tour, in 2002 and 2003. Elena Alexandrovna Likhovtseva (russian: Елена Александровна Лиховцева ; born 8 September 1975) is a Kazakhstani-born Russian former tennis player. She turned professional in January 1992, at the age of 16. Together with Mahesh Bhupathi she won the Wimbledon mixed-doubles championship in 2002, and the Australian Open mixed-doubles championship with Daniel Nestor in 2007. Sofia Prazeres (born 19 June 1974) is a former professional tennis player from Portugal. Biography Born in Porto, Prazeres started playing tennis at the age of seven. Prazeres debuted on the WTA Tour as a 16 year old at the 1990 Estoril Open, featuring in both the singles and doubles draws. In 1991, she began representing Portugal in Fed Cup competition and went on to become the most capped player in the team's history, with 30 wins from 49 matches. Vilamoura
Vilamoura is a coastal resort in the Loulé municipality in Algarve, Portugal. It is one of the three corners of Algarve's Golden Triangle. Vilamoura comprises one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe and with about 2,000 hectares of land. The nearest airport is in Faro. The area previously hosted the annual Almond Blossom Cross Country competition between 1996 and 2003, and the same course was selected as the venue for the 2000 IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
