Tytus Kanik
Tytus Kanik (born 17 May 1984) is a Polish professional darts player and former pool player. Currently plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) events. He is a two-time Polish Champion and first player from Poland to gain a PDC Tour Card and make professional. Career He achieved his first sports success in pool games. In 2003, he won a bronze medal in the eight-ball Polish Billiards Championships. He also started playing darts around the same period, ultimately changing the sports discipline before 2014. Very good performances at the national area, including plays in the final of the 2014 Polish Championship, where he lost to Krzysztof Chmielewski, allowed him to gain an official invitation to the 2015 PDC World Cup of Darts where he represented Poland together with Mariusz Paul, another leading player in the country at this time. Krzysztof Ratajski
Krzysztof Ratajski (Polish pronunciation: ; born 1 January 1977) is a Polish professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. His biggest achievement to date was winning the 2017 World Masters. Ratajski also plays on the Professional Darts Corporation's ProTour and has represented Poland at the PDC World Cup of Darts on numerous occasions. He is the most successful darts player to come from Poland. Career Ratajski's first major run came in the 2007 Czech Open where he reached the semi finals. He gained notable wins over Joey ten Berge and local player Marek Polak, eventually losing to Patrick Loos who won the tournament. Simon Whitlock
Simon Whitlock (born 3 March 1969) is an Australian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments, having also played in the British Darts Organisation (BDO) between 2004 and 2009. He uses the nickname The Wizard for his matches. His walk-on music is "Down Under" by Men at Work. His greatest achievements to date are winning the 2012 European Championship and 2022 World Cup of Darts for Australia with Damon Heta. Whitlock has also finished runner-up at the 2008 BDO World Darts Championship and the 2010 PDC World Darts Championship. He claimed that the prize money gained from the latter tournament which included money for the highest checkout (joint with Phil Taylor) would allow him to move over to the UK from Australia and compete on the PDC Pro Tour. Jan Dekker
Jan Dekker (born 25 June 1990) is a former Dutch professional darts player. He twice reached the semi-finals of the BDO World Darts Championship, in 2011 and 2014. Career Dekker qualified for the televised stages of the 2010 Winmau World Masters. He played eventual champion Martin Adams in the last 16, and was beaten 2–3 after Adams won a sudden-death leg. He also qualified for the 2011 BDO World Darts Championship. He defeated 15th seed Scott Mitchell 3–0 in the first round, and 2nd seed Stuart Kellett 4–1 in the second round. 2018 European Darts Open
The 2018 European Darts Open was the first of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2018 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Ostermann-Arena, Leverkusen, Germany, between 23–25 March 2018. It featured a field of 48 players and £135,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. This was the first event in the PDC European Tour where the format of the semi-finals and final were slightly altered. As in previous years, the first 3 rounds of action, plus the quarter-finals were all best of 11 legs matches, but the semi-finals became best of 13 legs matches, and the final became a best of 15 legs match. Peter Wright was the defending champion after defeating Mervyn King 6–2 in the final of the 2017 tournament. 2018 PDC Pro Tour
The 2018 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. In this year there are 41 PDC Pro Tour events being held – 22 Players Championships, six UK Open Qualifiers and 13 European Tour events. This page also includes results from the PDC’s affiliated tours including the Development and Challenge Tours and all the regional tours as well as the results from the World Championship regional qualifiers. José Justicia
José Antonio Justicia Perales (born 6 January 1989) is a Spanish darts player. Career Justicia started his career in 2009 and participated in PDPA Players Championship events in Gibraltar and Nuland. At the end of the year, he attempted to qualify through PDC World Spain Qualifying Event for 2010 PDC World Darts Championship, but lost in the quarterfinal phase to Francisco Ruiz. Next years he participated mainly in soft-tip darts and became a European champion in Soft Tip Bullshooter European Championship 2012. He appeared in several other PDPA Players Championship events in 2011 and 2012, in Germany, Netherlands and Spain. Michael McGowan (born 1 February 1973) is an Irish professional darts player who last played in events for the British Darts Organisation (BDO). Career McGowan last played on the PDC pro tour in the Killarney Pro Tour 1 in October 2013 and his last regional match was in the Ireland Players Championship 6 in April 2014. 2017 PDC World Cup Of Darts
The 2017 Betway World Cup of Darts was the seventh edition of the PDC World Cup of Darts. It took place between 1–4 June 2017 at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt, Germany. The England pairing of Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis were the reigning champions, after beating the Netherlands' Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld 3–2 in the 2016 final. England were represented by Lewis and Dave Chisnall. However, they lost 2–0 to the Netherlands in the semi-finals. The Netherlands went on to win their third title after beating Wales, represented by Gerwyn Price and Mark Webster, in the final 3–1. Format The tournament remained at 32 teams this year, with the top 8 teams are seeded and the remaining 24 teams being unseeded in the first round.
