Tyner Middle Academy (Hamilton County, Tennessee)
Hamilton County Schools (or Hamilton County Department of Education) is the school district that serves Hamilton County, Tennessee, USA. After a 1995 referendum, the then-separate Chattanooga City Schools district was merged into the county district in 1997. About 2,300 high school seniors graduated from the system in May 2011. District Leadership and Schools The Department of Education serves about 45,000 students in Hamilton County with 2,914 teachers at 79 schools. The schools are divided into five learning communities. TSSAA
The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA), along with the affiliated Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA), is an organization which administers junior and senior high school sporting events in Tennessee. The TSSAA (commonly pronounced "Tee double-S double-A") is the only high school athletic organization in the United States to have a five-sport, Olympic-style spring sport championship tournament, known as ''Spring Fling'', for baseball, softball, track and field, team and individual tennis, and soccer. Spring Fling began in Chattanooga in 1993, later moving to Memphis, and then establishing itself in Murfreesboro. Red Bank High School
Red Bank High School is a public school located in the city of Red Bank, Tennessee, United States. History Red Bank High School began as an extension to the one-year-old Red Bank Junior High School in 1938. Recognizing that the original plans for the school serving grades 7, 8, and 9 were not fulfilling the needs of the Red Bank community and surrounding areas, the Hamilton County Board of Education added a 10th grade in 1938, an 11th grade in 1939, and finally a 12th grade in 1940. During the three years of movement toward being a complete high school, Red Bank High School created its unique identity in the area. Lookout Valley Middle School and High School is a school in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in Hamilton County. It is operated by the Hamilton County Schools system. The Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences is a K–12 magnet school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was opened in 1986 in the former Wyatt Hall building which was used as a high school until 1983. Tyner Academy
Tyner High School is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. It was built in 1907 as the first secondary school in Hamilton County east of the Missionary Ridge at the site of the current Tyner Middle Academy. The first class consisted of 25 students. The school was moved to the current location, which has had many additions and changes since 1937. Today Tyner Academy serves around 876 students, in grades 9-12, in three Career Academies and a Freshman Academy.
