Tyler Vorpagel
Tyler Vorpagel (born March 24, 1985) is an American Republican politician. He is a former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 27th Assembly district from 2015 through 2022. Biography Born in Plymouth, Wisconsin, Vorpagel graduated from Plymouth High School in 2003. He went on to the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where he earned his bachelor's degree in political science and public administration in 2007. After graduating, he was employed as a staffer for Congressman Tom Petri, and was later promoted to district director. Vorpagel became well known in the local Republican Party of Wisconsin and was elected as a delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention. In 2014, Vorpagel entered the race for Wisconsin State Assembly in the 5th district seat being vacated by Steve Kestell, who was not running for another term. Wisconsin Assembly, District 27
The 27th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in eastern Wisconsin, the district comprises northeast Sheboygan County and southeast Manitowoc County. It includes part of northern Sheboygan, as well as the cities of Plymouth and Kiel, and the villages of Cleveland, Elkhart Lake, and Kohler. It also contains Lakeland University, the Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run golf courses, the Road America motorsport course, and the Sheboygan County Memorial Airport. The district is represented by Republican Amy Binsfeld, since January 2023. Wisconsin Elections Commission
The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency of the State of Wisconsin established to administer and enforce election laws in the state. The Wisconsin Elections Commission was established by a 2015 act of the Wisconsin Legislature which also established the Wisconsin Ethics Commission to administer campaign finance, ethics, and lobbying laws. The two commissions began operation on June 30, 2016, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB), which was abolished. The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (G.A.B.) was a regulatory agency for the State of Wisconsin which administered and enforced Wisconsin law pertaining to campaign finance, elections, ethics and lobbying. The agency was re-organized, over the opposition of many Democratic legislators, into two separate agencies (Ethics and Elections Commissions) following several controversies.
