Tyler Pennel
Tyler Pennel (born December 21, 1987) is an American distance runner. Having grown up in Colorado, he competed in cross country and track at Golden High School and subsequently at Western State College. He runs for ZAP Fitness and is known for a competitive range from the mile to the marathon. Running career High school Pennel attended Golden High School in Golden, Colorado, where he recorded personal bests of 4:25 in the 1600 and 9:49 in the 3200. Collegiate Pennel stayed in Colorado and committed to Western State College where he won an individual national title, a team national title, and was an 11-time All-American. His individual title was his first place finish in the men's 10,000 meters at the 2012 NCAA DII Outdoor T&F Championships. At Western State, Pennel trained almost always at an altitude higher than 4,000 feet. Post-collegiate Pennel won the 2014 Twin Cities Marathon in his marathon debut. 2014 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships
The 2014 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships took place on March 29, 2014. The races were held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The essentially flat one-loop course was beginning and ending in the city centre by Christiansborg Castle. USA Marathon Championships
The USA Marathon Championships is the annual national championships for marathon running in the United States. The race serves as a way of designating the American national champion for the marathon. The men's race was first contested in 1925 and a women's race was added to the program in 1974. Since 1968, in years which the Summer Olympics are held the event serves as a way of selecting the athletes who will represent the United States at the Olympic Games, with the top three eligible finishers selected to be on the Olympic team and the fourth and fifth eligible finishers being designated as alternates. Four Minute Mile
''Four Minute Mile'' is the debut studio album by American rock band The Get Up Kids. Background The Get Up Kids evolved out of the breakup of Kingpin, which consisted of high school friends guitarist Jim Suptic, bassist Rob Pope and his brother drummer Ryan Pope. After that group's demise, vocalist/guitarist Matt Pryor formed Secret Decoder Ring with Suptic,Sharpe-Young 2005, p. 317 before they broke up after a six months. Pryor and Suptic started working with Rob Pope, who invited college friend drummer Nathan Shay to form The Get Up Kids in 1994. Following this, the group self financed the 7" single "Shorty", which would sell over 2,000 copies. Shay moved to St. Louis, Missouri to focus on his studies, eventually leaving the group in April 1996. Ryan Pope joined initially on a temporary basis as there was concern with having both brothers in the band, and with Suptic and Pope not getting along in the past.
