''Twerp Verse'' is the third studio album by American indie rock band Speedy Ortiz. It was released on April 27, 2018 under Carpark Records. Release On February 21, 2018, the band announced the release of their new album, along with their first single "Lucky 88". The music video was released the same day, and was directed and produced by Emily Yoshida. The second single "Lean In When I Suffer" was released on March 23, 2018. The music video, directed by Ari Ratner, features the band in a "happiness bootcamp" to show the pressures of depression. The third single "Villain" was released on April 11, 2018. Critical reception ''Twerp Verse'' was met with "generally favorable" reviews from critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, this release received an average score of 79, based on 19 reviews. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Schreiber started Pitchfork while working at a record store in suburban Minneapolis, and the website earned a reputation for its extensive coverage of indie rock music. Michael Riley Mogis (born May 16, 1974) is an American producer/engineer and multi-instrumentalist who, along with his brother A.J. Mogis, founded Presto! Recording Studios (previously known as Dead Space Recording and, earlier, Whoopass Recording). Mogis currently runs ARC (Another Recording Company) in downtown Omaha. Mike has engineered, produced, and performed in many of the releases on the Saddle Creek label, including records by Bright Eyes, The Faint, Rilo Kiley, Cursive, The Good Life, Lullaby for the Working Class, Jenny Lewis, Tilly and the Wall and Elizabeth & The Catapult. Emily B. Lazar is an American mastering engineer. She is the founder, president, and chief mastering engineer of The Lodge, an audio mastering facility that has operated in New York City's Greenwich Village since 1997. She won a Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for Beck's album ''Colors'', becoming the first female mastering engineer to win in this category. Lackthereof is the solo project of Danny Seim, a founding member of the Portland, Oregon-based band Menomena. History The first six Lackthereof albums were recorded at home and given out to Seim's friends on cassettes and CD-R's. In 2005, FILMguerrero released ''Christian the Christian'', making it the first album in the Lackthereof discography to receive any sort of formal distribution. Sadie Dupuis (born Sarah Dupuis; July 8, 1988) is an American musician who is the guitarist, lead vocalist and lyricist for the band Speedy Ortiz and formerly for the band Quilty. She has also released two solo albums, ''Slugger'' and ''Haunted Painting'', under the name Sad13. Dupuis has published two books of poetry. A portrait of her was featured on the August 22, 2022 cover of The New Yorker. Early life and education Dupuis began playing music as a child, singing in choirs and playing piano. Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean is the same as the arithmetic mean.
