Tverrbottindene
Tverrbottindene is a mountain ridge with a number of high peaks in Lom Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Jotunheimen mountains within Jotunheimen National Park. The mountain sits about southwest of the village of Fossbergom and about northeast of the village of Øvre Årdal. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Tverrbytthornet to the southeast, Kyrkja to the south, Stehøi and Stetinden to the southwest, Smørstabbtindene to the west, and Store Bukkeholstinden. The following list includes those 186 that have a topographic prominence of 50 meters or more. The topographic isolation refers to the shortest ''horizontal'' distance one would have to travel to find a higher summit. Location of peaks Most of these peaks are in the municipalities of Lom, Norway, Lom, Skjåk, Luster, Norway, Luster, and Vågå, connected to the mountain chain that reaches its prominence with Jotunheimen. There are also several peaks in Dovrefjell, Rondane, Dovre, Lesja, and Folldal that also reach above 2000 meters. Store Bukkeholstinden is a mountain in Lom Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Jotunheimen mountains within Jotunheimen National Park. The mountain sits about southwest of the village of Fossbergom and about northeast of the village of Øvre Årdal. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Bukkeholshøi to the east; Nørdre Hellstugutinden, Midtre Hellstugutinden, and Urdadalstindene to the southeast; Tverrbytthornet and Kyrkja to the south; the Tverrbottindene ridge to the southwest and west; Bukkehøe and Lindbergtinden to the northwest; and Store Styggehøe to the northeast. Kyrkja
Kyrkja is a mountain in Lom Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Jotunheimen mountains within Jotunheimen National Park. The mountain sits about south of the village of Fossbergom and about northeast of the village of Øvre Årdal. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Urdadalstindene and Semelholstinden to the east; Kyrkjeoksli, Visbretinden, and Langvasshøi to the southeast; Høgvagltindene to the south; Stehøi and Stetinden to the west; and Tverrbottindene and Tverrbytthornet to the north. The mountain is named which means "The Church". This name was given because its peak is extremely steep and resembles a church spire. Innlandet
Innlandet is a county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (the municipalities of Jevnaker and Lunner were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken on the same date). Smørstabbtindene is a mountain group in Lom Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The highest mountain in the group is tall. The group of mountains is located in the larger Jotunheimen mountain range and inside Jotunheimen National Park. Øvre Årdal
Øvre Årdal is a village in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is the larger of the two primary villages in Årdal. The village is situated at the northern end of the long lake Årdalsvatnet, with the village of Årdalstangen at the southern end. Jotunheimen National Park
Jotunheimen National Park ( no, Jotunheimen nasjonalpark, "Home of the Giants") is a national park in Norway, recognized as one of the country's premier hiking and fishing regions. The national park covers and is part of the larger area Jotunheimen.
