Tuvalu National Futsal Team
The Tuvalu national futsal team is the representative team for Tuvalu in international futsal competitions. It is controlled by the Tuvalu Islands Football Association. They have never won a game. Tuvalu participates in Oceanian Futsal Championship. Oceanian Futsal Championship participation The 2008 Oceanian Futsal Championship was the first time Tuvalu attended the Oceanian Futsal Championship. Team's coach in 2008 was Sami Neemia. They lost 13-1 to New Zealand, 10-2 to New Caledonia, 13-3 to Fiji and 12-0 to Solomon Islands; and against French Polynesia the score was 1–3. In 2010, Toakai Puapua was the coach. Tuvalu Islands Football Association
The Tuvalu Islands Football Association is the governing body of football in Tuvalu. The association is responsible for the Tuvalu national football team and the Tuvalu national futsal team. Football in Tuvalu is played at club and national team level. The association is a member of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) but not affiliated to FIFA. The association has been wanting to be a member of FIFA since 1987. However the lack of football facilities in Tuvalu is a major obstacle membership of FIFA. Tuvalu does not have a stadium, or training grounds or hotels for visiting teams and supporters. History was made in 2007 when Tuvalu became the first non FIFA member to participate in an official World Cup qualifying match. Nauti FC
Nauti FC is a Tuvalu football club from Funafuti, playing in the Tuvalu A-Division. The team's home ground is the Tuvalu Sports Ground, the only football field in Tuvalu. Nauti is one of the most successful teams in Tuvalu, with the most trophies of all the nation's teams. Nauti plays on an amateur level, as do all the teams in Tuvalu. They also have a reserve squad and a women's team. History Nauti was founded in 1980, under the name Combined Devils. The name was initiated by Mr Igatia Talesi. In 1976, he started a mixed team of men from Funafuti and other Tuvalu Islands with the name Combined Devils. 2016 OFC Futsal Championship
The 2016 OFC Futsal Championship was the 11th edition of the OFC Futsal Championship, the annual international futsal championship organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for the men's national teams of Oceania. The tournament was held in Suva, Fiji between 8–13 February 2016. The tournament was originally to be held in Papeete, Tahiti, but was moved to Fiji after Tahiti withdrew. The 2015 tournament, which was originally scheduled to be held in Tahiti between 1–8 August 2015, was not played. Same as previous editions held on the same year as the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the tournament acted as the OFC qualifiers for the World Cup. The 2014 OFC Futsal Championship, also known as the OFC Futsal Championship Invitational 2014, was the tenth edition of the main international futsal tournament of the Oceanian region, organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC). 2009 Oceanian Futsal Championship
The 2009 OFC Futsal Championship was the sixth edition of the main international futsal tournament of the Oceanian region. It took place from 7 July to 11 July 2009, and was hosted by Fiji, which had also hosted the previous edition. The number of participating teams dropped from seven to just four, as French Polynesia, New Zealand and Tuvalu failed to return from the previous year's competition. 2004 Oceanian Futsal Championship
The 2004 OFC Futsal Championship was the fourth edition of the main international futsal tournament of the Oceanian region. It took place in Canberra, Australia from 25 to 29 July 2004. The tournament also acted as a qualifying tournament for the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Chinese Taipei. Australia won the tournament and qualified for the World Cup.
