Tunku Laksamana Nasir
Tunku Laksamana Nasir Alam ibni Tuanku Muhammad Shah died in Seri Menanti, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia in 1976. He is one of the sons of Tuanku Muhammad Shah. He was a member of the Negeri Sembilan royal family and is interred in Seri Menanti Royal Mausoleum. He served as Regent of Negeri Sembilan from 2 September 1957 to 1 April 1960, whilst his brother (Tuanku Abdul Rahman) served his term as Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaya. Seri Menanti
Seri Menanti (Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Soghi Monanti'') is a town, a mukim and a state assembly constituency in Kuala Pilah District, in central Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It is the royal capital of the state of Negeri Sembilan and houses the seat of the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan or Yamtuan Besar, the ruler of the state of Negeri Sembilan. Negeri Sembilan (, Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Nogoghi Sombilan'', ''Nismilan'') is a state in Malaysia which lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It borders Selangor on the north, Pahang in the east, and Malacca and Johor to the south. The name is believed to derive from the nine (''sembilan'') villages or '' nagari'' in the Minangkabau language (now known as ''luak'') settled by the Minangkabau, a people originally from West Sumatra (in present-day Indonesia). Muhammad Of Negeri Sembilan
Tuanku Sir Muhammad Shah ibni Almarhum Tuanku Antah (25 April 1865 – 1 August 1933) was the seventh Yamtuan Besar of Seri Menanti, who ruled from 1888 to 1933. During his reign, Negeri Sembilan came under British protection in 1889 and became a Federated Malay States, Federated Malay State in 1895. In June 1887, he was declared as ''Yam Tuan'' as recognised by British Authority. Sir Tuanku Muhammad Shah re-established the traditional constitution with the four ''Undang'' (Lawgivers) and, on 29 April 1898, he was duly elected by the four Undang as Yang-di-Pertuan Besar; the first election under the modern re-constituted Negeri Sembilan. Tuanku Sir Abdul Rahman ibni Almarhum Tuanku Muhammad ( Jawi: ; 24 August 1895 – 1 April 1960) was the first Paramount Ruler or Yang di-Pertuan Agong of the Federation of Malaya, eighth Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Seri Menanti and second Yang di-Pertuan Besar of modern Negeri Sembilan. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong (, Jawi: ), also known as the Supreme Head of the Federation, the Paramount Ruler or simply as the Agong, and unofficially as the King of Malaysia, is the constitutional monarch and head of state of Malaysia. Kuala Pilah (Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Kolo Pilah''), or simply Pilah, is a town in Kuala Pilah District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Townscape Kuala Pilah is an old valley town with many of the pre-war Chinese shop houses still fronting the main streets surrounded by traditional style Malay village houses built on stilts nestled among extensive rice fields. It has a sizeable Chinese community that has existed since the mining days during the early British rule. This community today engages in trading and providing essential services such as workshops, hairdressing and coffee shops. The town is especially busy on weekends due to the flood of folks returning from Kuala Lumpur, usually to visit their parents or to tend to their family plots, where around the area is mostly Malays that migrated to Kuala Lumpur in search of better prospects and 'the bright lights'.
