"Tujhse Naaraz Nahi Zindagi" () is an Indian Hindi song from the Bollywood film ''Masoom (1983 film), Masoom'' (1983). The lyrics of the song was written by Gulzar, and composed by R. D. Burman. The song has two different versions — female, and male, and were sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Anup Ghoshal resepectively. In 1984, Gulzar won a Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist for this song. Theme The opening lines of the song set the theme. The lyricist attempts to understand the strangeness of life. He claims he is upset, but not angry. In the film ''Masoom'' te male version of the song sings and captures a father's helplessness and the female version narrates a woman's pain in dealing with her husband's illegitimate child. Awards Gulzar, the lyricist of this song, won a Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist for this song in 1984. R. D. Burman won an award in the category of "best soundtrack". Anup Ghoshal
Anup Ghoshal is an Indian playback singer, composer in Hindi films and other vernacular Indian films, especially Bengali language films. He is known in his native Bengal primarily as one of the foremost Nazrulgeeti exponents, and was one of the foremost artistes of the 'golden age' of Nazrulgeeti (c. 1930s–1970s). Sampooran Singh Kalra (born 18 August 1934), known professionally as Gulzar, is an Indian Urdu poet, lyricist, author, screenwriter, and film director known for his works in Hindi cinema. He is regarded as one of greatest Urdu poets of this era. He started his career with music director S.D. Burman as a lyricist in the 1963 film ''Bandini'' and worked with many music directors including R. D. Burman, Salil Chowdhury, Vishal Bhardwaj and A. R. Rahman. ''Masoom'' () is the directorial debut of Shekhar Kapur. It is an adaptation of the 1980 novel ''Man, Woman and Child'' by Erich Segal which was also adapted into a Malayalam movie ''Olangal'' and an American movie ''Man, Woman and Child''. The film stars Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in lead roles along with Tanuja, Supriya Pathak and Saeed Jaffrey. It features Jugal Hansraj, Aradhana and Urmila Matondkar as child actors.
