Millencolin
Millencolin is a Swedish punk rock band that was formed on 12 October 1992 by Nikola Šarčević, Mathias Färm, and Erik Ohlsson in Örebro, Sweden. In early 1993, drummer Fredrik Larzon joined the band. The name Millencolin is derived from the skateboard trick "melancholy". History The original lineup, consisting of Šarčević (vocals and bass), Ohlsson (guitar), and Färm (drums), released their first demo tape, ''Goofy'', in early 1993. Soon afterwards, Larzon joined the band to play drums, allowing Färm to perform as the second guitarist. In the summer of 1993, they recorded a second demo tape, ''Melack''. The band sent the tape to Burning Heart Records, a new record label formed earlier that year. They signed Millencolin to do a CD single, which culminated in the release of '' Use Your Nose'' in November 1993. Success of the single prompted Burning Heart to sign the band to release a full album. In July 1994, the band released '' Skauch'', initially planned to be a s ...

Skate punk
Skate punk (also known as skatecore and skate rock) is a skater subculture and punk rock subgenre that developed in the 1980s. Originally a form of hardcore punk that had been closely associated with skate culture, skate punk evolved into a more melodic genre of punk rock in the 1990s similar to pop punk. Since then, it has predominately featured fast tempos, lead guitar playing (including guitar riffs and guitar solos), fast drumming, and singing (sometimes including vocal harmonies). Occasionally, skate punk also combines the fast tempos of hardcore punk and melodic hardcore with the catchy hooks of pop-punk. 1970s and early 1980s punk rock bands like Buzzcocks, Descendents, Adolescents, Black Flag, and Circle Jerks paved the way for skate punk. Skate punk was pioneered in the 1980s by bands such as the Big Boys, Suicidal Tendencies, and JFA. Many early skate punk bands are part of the hardcore punk movement nardcore, which emerged in Oxnard, California. Skate punk b ...

Mathias Färm
Mathias Färm (born September 9, 1974, in Örebro, Sweden) is a guitar player, best known as a member of the Swedish punk rock band Millencolin. He is also the frontman of a punk band named Franky Lee, a side-project of Millencolin. He started skating in 1987 and started listening to Operation Ivy, Mc Rad, The Descendents & Odd Man Out because of the skate videos. Early in 1992 he and Nikola Šarčević were members of a band named Seigmen, which was a punk rock band singing in Swedish. Färm runs a studio named Soundlab Studios, which he started with the help of Mieszko Talarczyk the former lead singer of Swedish grindcore band Nasum. He was the inaugural drummer for Millencolin but soon switched to guitar when Millencolin's current drummer Fredrik Larzon joined the band in 1993. This change was made because most of Millencolin's songs required two guitars on stage to duplicate the studio recorded sounds. Färm was also a more proficient guitarist than drummer. Currently, he ...

True Brew (album)
''True Brew'' is the eighth studio album by Swedish punk rock band Millencolin. It was first released on 22 April 2015. Stylistically, ''True Brew'' returns to the faster punk rock sound of Millencolin's 90s releases and marks a departure from the more alternative rock driven sound that dominated the albums since Pennybridge Pioneers. Unlike past releases, the album is more political in tone, evident in songs such as ''Sense & Sensibility'' which condemns the rise of right-wing populist parties in many countries of Europe. Track listing # "Egocentric Man" – 2:34 # "Chameleon" – 2:58 # "Autopilot Mode" – 2:00 # "Bring Me Home" – 2:27 # "Sense & Sensibility" – 2:37 # " True Brew" – 3:22 # "Perfection Is Boring" – 2:59 # "Wall of Doubt" – 2:45 # "Something I Would Die For" – 2:51 # "Silent Suicide" – 1:20 # "Man of 1000 Tics" – 2:52 # "Mr. Fake Believe" – 2:36 # "Believe in John" – 3:21 Personnel *Nikola Šarčević – lead vocals, bass * Erik Ohlsson ...
