Troy Mann
Troy Mann (born September 3, 1969) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who most recently served as head coach of the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League (AHL). Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Mann began his professional playing career in 1995 with the Saginaw Wheels of the Colonial Hockey League, and played 10 seasons in the professional minor leagues before retiring as a player following the 2004-05 season when he served as a playing assistant coach with the CHL's Topeka Tarantulas. He focused on a coaching career with the 2005–06 ECHL season when he was hired as an assistant coach with the Columbia Inferno, becoming their head coach the following season. Mann served as an assistant coach with the Hershey Bears of the AHL for four years. After he was passed over in the Bears' vacant head coaching search, he moved to the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL. Topeka Tarantulas
The Topeka Tarantulas were a professional minor league ice hockey team based in Topeka, Kansas. They were a member of the Central Hockey League and played their home games at Landon Arena. The team was established in 2004 when the Indianapolis Ice moved to Topeka from Indianapolis. The Tarantulas played one season and then folded. The Tarantulas were preceded by the Topeka Scarecrows, who played in the CHL from 1998 to 2001; another franchise also named the Topeka Scarecrows subsequently played in the United States Hockey League from 2001 to 2003. Bakersfield Condors (1998–2015) Players
The Bakersfield Condors are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) based in Bakersfield, California. The team is owned by and affiliated with the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers. The Condors play their home games at Mechanics Bank Arena. The AHL franchise is a relocation of the Oklahoma City Barons, which joined four other AHL franchises in 2015 as the basis to form a new Pacific Division in California. Columbia Inferno
The Columbia Inferno were an ECHL team based in Columbia, South Carolina. Beginning in 2008, the team went on voluntary suspension awaiting construction of a new arena in suburban Lexington County, South Carolina. However, the ECHL dropped Columbia as a "future market" in June 2014. They played their home games at the Carolina Coliseum. The 2005–06 ECHL season is the 18th season of the ECHL, a professional ice-hockey league based in the United States. The season ran from late October 2005 to early June 2006. The Brabham Cup regular season champions and Kelly Cup playoff champions were the Alaska Aces. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL).
