''Trouble'' is the fourth studio album by American doom metal band Trouble (band), Trouble, released on American Recordings (record label), Def American on February 13, 1990. It was the first Trouble album to have Barry Stern on drums. Music videos were made for "At the End of My Daze," "Psychotic Reaction," "R.I.P.," and "The Misery Shows (Act II);" the music videos were released on the ''Videos'' DVD by the band's Trouble, Inc. label in 2007. The album was reissued and remastered by Hammerheart Records, cooperating alongside Trouble, Inc., on November 27, 2020. Trouble (band)
Trouble is an American doom metal band from Aurora, Illinois, formed in 1979. They are often considered one of the pioneers of doom metal, and have been referred to as one of the genre's "big four" alongside Candlemass, Pentagram and Saint Vitus. The band created a distinct style, taking influences of the British heavy metal bands Black Sabbath and Judas Priest,Leif Edling, Trouble interview, ''Trouble Live In Stockholm'' DVD. and psychedelic rock of the 1970s. Trouble's first two albums, ''Psalm 9'' and ''The Skull'', are cited as landmarks of doom metal. To date, they have released eight studio albums. Although never officially disbanded, they went inactive after original singer Eric Wagner left in 1997. He rejoined in 2000 and left again eight years later; he was first replaced by Kory Clarke and then by current vocalist Kyle Thomas, who had also filled in for Wagner during his initial absence from Trouble. Adam C. Dubin (born January 10, 1964) is an American filmmaker who co-directed the Beastie Boys music videos "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" and "No Sleep till Brooklyn" with Ric Menello. "Fight for Your Right" is number three on MTV's all time funniest music videos. In 2007, Fuse interviewed Dubin when it aired a 30-minute episode about "Fight for Your Right" as part of their series ''Videos That Rocked the World''. Bruce Franklin (guitarist)
Bruce Franklin is an American musician. He is a founding member and guitarist for doom metal band Trouble. In 1979, he formed the band with his hometown friends Eric Wagner, Rick Wartell, Jeff Olson, and Ian Brown. After touring the Midwest and gaining popularity, Trouble was signed to Metal Blade Records in 1983. Franklin is also a member of the band Supershine featuring King's X frontman Doug Pinnick and longtime Trouble drummer Jeff Olson. Franklin appeared as a guest lead guitarist on Tourniquet's 2003 album ''Where Moth and Rust Destroy'', and again on their 2012 album ''Antiseptic Bloodbath''. He also played guitar on Generation's 1993 album Brutal Reality. Franklin's main influence growing up was guitarist Tony Iommi. Eric Wagner
Eric Wagner (April 24, 1959 – August 22, 2021) was an American heavy metal singer, best known for his work with doom metal band Trouble. Career Wagner formed Trouble in 1979. He briefly left the band in the mid-1990s and formed Lid with guitarist Daniel Cavanagh, resulting in 1997's ''In the Mushroom''. He also appeared on Dave Grohl's heavy metal side-project ''Probot'' in 2004 with the song "My Tortured Soul". He rejoined Trouble in 2000, and recorded one more album with them, '' Simple Mind Condition'' (2007), before leaving the band once again in May 2008 to pursue other musical interests and projects. Wagner had also been recording under the band name Blackfinger. He also formed The Skull, which features former Trouble bassist Ron Holzner. Death Wagner died from complications of COVID-19 in Las Vegas on August 22, 2021, at the age of 62. Barry Stern
Barry Stern (January 24, 1960April 1, 2005) was a heavy metal drummer from Chicago, Illinois. History Zoetrope and Trouble (1976-1995) From 1976 until 1988, he drummed for Zoetrope, for whom he also served as vocalist and songwriter. After recording two albums with that band, Stern joined Trouble in 1989. He appeared on two of their albums, 1990's ''Trouble'' and 1992's '' Manic Frustration'', before leaving in 1993. In 1994, Barry replaced Joe Hasselvander in Cathedral for touring purposes. Final musical projects and Death (2005-2007) A guest spot on Debris Inc.'s 2005 self-titled debut album was Barry's final recording appearance. American Recordings (formerly Def American Recordings) is an American record label headed by producer Rick Rubin. The label has featured artists such as Slayer, the Black Crowes, ZZ Top, Danzig, Trouble, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, The Mother Hips, and System of a Down.
